I thought it was time for a good ol' vlog to give you a little update on our everyday life right now, and what I'm up to.
There is a lot of things going on "behind the scenes" and we have spent lots of time working for something that is not yet visible. In this video I let you know all about how it's going with our jewelry collection and the renovations with our new smithy. I also give you a little sneak peak on some jewelry pieces and let you see some behind the scenes-footage of my work with the product photography. And LOTS of more of course!
I also have a little Q&A to answer some questions that I got on my last video, the ice sounds video, which you can see here if you have not yet seen it
► • Did you know that ice ...
As I tell you in the video, I am right now working on a new ice sound video, that will be raw ice sounds for about 3 hours long. I know a lot of you have been waiting for it, so I just wanted to let you known that the next video will be that one. So stay tuned :)
I hope you liked this video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! ♥

It’s shocking how many people wish this was their life - I think it says something about human nature and how much we crave simplicity and stability

Many people can't access it though. I'm a child living on a small farm, I'd much rather live there with just me and my horse. I don't understand why I'm expected to grow up and get a dead end job in the suburbs and get a family. That's not what I want

Thank you. My father died a few weeks ago. I stumbled upon this blog a few days ago. My dad used to always drive us up to the “cabin” every year. In north Wisconsin. I used to hate it. I didn’t understand it, if that makes sense. Seeing all these videos and the beauty of the wilderness terrain and cabins, along with traditional European culture and personalities and work ethic and way of life, I understand the north woods now. Wisconsin is mostly people from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, north Germany. The buildings are the same. I understand all of it for the first time now. Thank you so much. God bless you.

Why does it matter who is pulling in the online money, who is doing the design, who is doing the paper work, who is holding the carpenter's hammer, or who's making the meals for hungry workers? /Man

Start with your smallest dream and work up from there, very few people started out living in a mansion, (and i would argue that mansions are kinda shit, id take a cozy 10,000$ tiny home over a sprawling mansion any day.) start small, and grow from there. And remember that life is a collection of dreams, not just one that went perfectly, and example of what i think hers were is, having a business and being able to do it from home, having a home in the countryside to be in nature, film, photography, and having a dog. All separate dreams that she had to make work together in a way that is perfect for her, but im sure theres a lot of convenient things that had to be cut out of their lives to save money, and example being heating, it takes a lot of wood to heat a home all winter, and that comes with a cost, you can spend money and pay someone to do it, or spend time do it yourself, which will be cheaper, as a person will charge their time plus a profit. Say its, 20$ for a sack of wood bought, and it took an hour to fill, where i am, at minimum wage you would spend 15$ in time doing it yourself, compared to 20$, which would be an extra 20 minutes of work just to cover a markup cost, you'd trade an hour and twenty minutes of work for an hours worth. It all follows what I call a convenience tax, simply put, you can buy a loaf of bread thats not cut for cheaper that a cut one, so, the best way to save money, is to ask yourself, "Do i need to be paying for someone else to cut my bread, or to heat my home, or to cook my food" and take actions to cut that cost out, and realize that sometimes it will be a big lump sum of money you will need to spend to save overall. Personally i could take 14,000$ and pay rent for two years, or, i could spend that on building a small home that will cost a lot less in the long run. Sorry for the long ramble, i hope you get to live your dreams too. best of luck.

It's funny so many of us escape to this 'old' style of living videos. What does it say about our modern way of life if so many long for this? We are living in the best time to be alive, but as life gets more complicated, there's more demands on each person to make money and be productive, more and more people wish for simpler times. What have we given up and lost for our modern conveniences? Surely a sense of accomplishment and productivity for ourselves vs making someone else rich while we still struggle is not the least of it....

I know that for winters in a climate like this I would not be prepared at first, but my dream is to live like this, somewhere surrounded by snowy mountains and pine forrest. Waking up cold and bundling up to go get the fire going for the day. Drinking hot tea and looking out at the snow, thinking about everything, then slowly getting up to make breakfast and start the day.

You're also very talented, doing all that you're doing singing, jewelry, and the contact and understanding you have with other animals. Without exagerating, i think you're exactly what a human should be like, close to nature, taking care of other species and everything, Not sure if there is a perfection in this world but if there is, you're very, very close to it in my opinion. Even though I've been to Sweden for only two days, I feel like I could talk about that experience for months. I hope someone has the patience to read this very condensed depiction. First of all, seeing Sweden from the airplane made me feel like Niels Holgerson in the cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid. Perfect green fields looking like golf ranges, blue lakes and white rocks that look like chlak. On those green fields, there are red cabins like yours, with white windows. Horses and cows next to them. Then there was Stockholm. It looks like those large pictures in Ikea. I think I could sit on a bar stool, smoke a pipe and watch Stockholm for days and weeks and never get bored. My heart rate would probably go down to one beat per hour and I'd live for centuries. Unfortunately I had only a few hours to contemplate it. Svea way, Royal Palace Plaza with a large marina with boats going to many places (but I don't want to go anywhere else than Stockholm) and a market where people sell mushrooms, dried up berries and funny suitcases. A tunnel under some buildings and another tunnel through a big rock. September rain that can go through my thick winter jacket. Serious wind! Long highway drive to Eskilstuna. Eskilstuna is a nice little town with people I'd rather not talk about. Next day, the start of a 3000km long drive back home. Very firendly guy with a nice Subaru at the gas station, we talk about inflating tires and bringing the air gun back to the clerk inside. I ask him what's the deal with those big round lights on people's bumpers and I find out they are for fog and thick blizzards. I have only seen those in Sweden. I feel like we are little kids on the playground talking about what toys to play with. The Sweeds are very, very nice people. Nice drive through a forest, speed cameras signaled from way before, not hidden like everywhere else. Take care, anyway. After that, a long highway drive again. Absolutely stunning lake views, again green fields, endless forests, red houses and barns, horses and cows grazing on the fields, many large station wagons pulling boats or small trailers (what's up with that?), many old collectible Volvos and SAABs, I love all of them. I wonder what it's like to live in those red houses. Is it lonely? Is that why they have horses, cows and nice dogs? Eyes back to the highway. Huge long articulated trucks, much bigger than in continental Europe. Breath taking lake view on E4 near Jönköping. I could die and get burried here, I'd be a happy ghost. My words fail to describe it and I can't paint that well. Short stop for a snack at Max. Another long drive to Helsinborg, where Sweden has too soon and too suddenly ended for me, so far. I'd love to live there, but I love my home more. Because it's home, not because it's better. I'd rather not compare.

I think it was a pack of wolves because it would explain the number of paw prints and how deep the prints are. When wolves travel in packs they step where the wolf In front of them has stepped to save energy so it would explain why the different foot prints have different depths 😊

Living in Northern Sweden, Norway or in my case Northern Finland is like winning the lottery. The things in life people most often learn too late in life are, Perception is reality - Everything is temporary - The importance of being present - Do what you love and love what you do. We always says, to be happy it takes a lot of work but the thing is it takes more work to be unhappy. The biggest step in to unhappiness are when people starts to comparing themselves to other people and that happen even they don't know it. We have only one life, take a chance, make a change and live!.
