Another fan of your videos, glad to see you posting them, again! Drove by Pompelle in 2007, but we were on our way east, to explore former German-held sites, before heading north to Cambrai that evening. Hope to return, someday, but until then can now look forward to more of your videos!

Great video, I lived next to the fort for years and it was my first introduction to WW1 history! Edit : There is a much better preserved fort to the southwest of Pompelle called Montbré, it wasn't as heavily bombed as Pompelle. Rumors say germans used the railway tunnel right next to Montbré to store V2 prototypes during WWII !

If you ever come to Sweden, have a look at Karlsborg fortress and the nearby Vaberget one. Very interesting 19th century thing that was meant to be the last defence in the middle of Sweden.. Pretty fucking big too.
