Hi! I was curious who the 100th one was and I'm so glad that I found out🥰 I thought of your question for a while because at the time of uni application, I had no clue what I wanted to pursue. But in retrospect, I think the main reason is that I get to build a relationship with my patients. As a dentist, it is possible I see a patient for decades, and throughout this interpersonal relationship, I can take a more holistic approach on my treatment plans. And the interaction appeals to me. Hi! I want to mention that the total amount would highly depend on the school you'd be going to. The tuition fees vary a lot from one school to the other. In my case, our school expects us to buy all our equipments, whereas other schools allow rentals. That being said, I would admit that dental school can be really expensive and personally, I am expecting about 50-60K in loans by the time I graduate. I haven't decided if I would like to specialize or not in the future, so it is difficult for me to give you an answer as for my expected pay. Hope it was helpful :))
