Mahomes is built differently than Burrow. Just remember when Patrick got up from the QB sneak attempt against the Broncos. His kneecap was on the side of his leg. Everyone said he would miss 6 to 8 weeks minimum. He missed 3 weeks. One of those was a bye week so he only missed 2 actual games. He comes back and they win the Super Bowl. High ankle sprain in the playoffs and he hobbled thru and beats the Eagles. Burrow couldn't do those things with his body. Just built different.

That's been an inevitability in the NFL since relatively short contracts were a thing. Reader was a pretty big loss, but they really haven't lost anyone else going into this season. Those serious injuries occur when you play injured instead of resting and healing. That's the sign of a bad organization and bad coaching. I'm more of a Joe Burrow fan than a Bengals fan (huge LSU fan). The last point Nick made about the Chiefs ending all the 3 teams play off runs, he makes it sound as if the Chiefs blew everyone out, The Bengals always play them close and the last time they met in the playoffs the Bengals were in it right up in till the end when a ticky tak penalty was called and it basically costed them the game. I don't think Mahome's is in Burrows head because they know they can win in Arrowhead if the game is called with no bias. I personally think the refs are calling games in favor of the Chiefs like they did for Tom Brady for years because Mahomes is the new face of the NFL. That's just my opinion though, I very well could be wrong. Anyway, my point is the Bengals are perfectly capable of beating the Chiefs if Burrow can get decent protection from the O-line and that will help him stay healthy. He can take 1 or 2 big hits and come back from it and play great (see the UCF game the year before LSU ran the table and went 15-0) I'm perfectly aware the NFL is a different beast but any QB that takes 40+ sacks every year would have issues staying healthy. Also taking into account the hits that happen after he gets rid of the ball because some gave up protection or just got beat because they're not good enough to keep the block and the hit isn't counted as a sack. The O-line has been the biggest issue since he was drafted and hopefully we don't end up with an Andrew Luck situation with Burrow because that will be a shame to have 2 amazing QB's retire because they weren't protected well enough.

What'chu talkin' 'bout Willis? Y'all just signed a SB Champion, Pro Bowl LT, Orlando Brown, Jr.
@133lash
@133lash 2 ай бұрын
@@jenniferaceste8823 Yeah and Burrow was still sacked 31 times in 10 games. Sure Orlando Brown Jr is an important piece but since linemen are rotated throughout the game, he's not always in to protect Joe. Also, there are 4 other spots on the line that have to hold up their blocks as well. So 1 player can't do it all and solidify a line. If he was the last piece missing and the rest of the line was solid then sure, I'd agree that the line isn't an the issue but the fact is, the rest of the line just isn't up to par and neither are the rotational players. Hopefully it can be improved this coming season (I have my doubts it will). If not then it might be time to find a new OC or maybe even a new HC that's proven to be able to call an offense and build a line/protection scheme because Zac Taylor has had 4 seasons to fix it and hasn't been able to so far. Hopefully it's just been an issue with talent because like I said before, I'd hate to see Burrow be a story like Andrew Luck because he had the talent to be one of the greats and I think Burrow does as well, granted Luck had more natural talent and arm strength but Brady proved that's not the end all be all And no, I'm not trying to compare Burrow to Brady, that would be foolish. As much as I hated seeing him win all of the time I cant deny his accomplishments...though a few may be tainted but I don't want to get on an off topic rant lol.

Joe borrow had the potential for being the next tom Brady but he did not have tom Brady's offense in Fox borrow. The big deep throws got burrow hurt . To much time in the pocket for those type of plays . He does not have the frame to take multiple sacks . It will be interesting to see how Justin Herbert will do in a offense that could be similar to what Brady played in New England . Herbert also has had injuries caused by going after big plays down the field causing him to take more hits

I certainly hope we haven't seen the best of Joe Burrow yet, and I'm a Chiefs fan. I never wish injury or illness on any player in any sport-you want players and teams to be as healthy as possible when they compete. That said, I think it's definitely on the table that his best years are behind him. It's unfortunate, but it happens a lot.

Joe burrow needed better tackles..and they went and got two (FA Trent Brown, Amarius Mims Rd1), he’s now got 3 NUMBER 1 WRs on the roster, and the defense revamped..its not even close..Burrow stays healthy, it’s championship status..2022 was CHEATED AWAY FROM US OFF OF MULTIPLE questionable calls in the end of that AFC Championship, along with 3 starters on the Oline injured and not playing that game) or we would’ve BEATEN KC for the second year in a row, IN KC, to advance to the Super Bowl again..injuries ARE THE ONLY THING THAT WILL STOP THIS BENGALS TEAM FROM BEING RIGHT BACK IN IT AGAIN..🤷‍♂️

Don't sleep on Buffalo. Especially seeing how they have the offensive Rookie of Year, Ray Davis. Unlike the new RB with the Eagles, he(Davis) understand you don't always have to run over Folks, But he can if and when he wants to. Doing it every time just puts unnecessary WEAR on the Body. When the Bills are least expected, then they are even more likely to surprise. Plus a healthy Lamar and Henry will Run Ride all over the entire League.

We have seen the best of Burrow. No one wants to say it but we have. He’s had the benefit of multiple pro bowl receivers and doesn’t have nearly the physical tools or football IQ people attribute to him. Not very mobile, doesn’t have feel for getting rid of the ball which leads to him getting sacked way more than anyone else (his line isn’t great but it’s not nearly as bad as people say). Honestly people were wowed by the hype. In 10 years people won’t look back and think Burrow is a HOF, elite, etc. He’ll be in the hall of very good, right with the Phillip Rivers of the world. That’s best case scenario

I'd still like an explanation as to why Jim Browning put up slightly better numbers than Burrow *when he was healthy* other than "Burrow wasn't healthy" Because they said "Burrow is truly back to form, back to his old self, throwing for 300 yards a game" *SO DID BROWNING.* With the same amount of interceptions! 😂
