After an exciting weekend of basketball festivities, Team LeBron snagged the victory against Team Durant on Sunday night's All-Star Game. The NBA also honored its Top 75 players in history, with Steph Curry, who is one of them, stealing the show. The Ohio native hit an All-Star record 16 three-pointers, scored 50 points and was awarded MVP honors for his performance. LeBron James hit the game-winning fadeaway to seal the victory. After the game, LeBron reflected on performing in front of his home crowd, saying quote: 'I could not have dreamed it that moment any better than the actuality that just happened.' Nick Wright shares his winner of All-Star Weekend and how this makes LeBron's case as the GOAT.

Nick Wrong said Curry scored 50 and LeBron hitting the game winner, he gives the nod to LeBron. Let's be honest, had LeBron scored 50 and Curry hit the game winner, he would have still given it to LeBron. That's the problem. He's not consistent.

@@AngryOldHoops LeBrons has what, 3 stats that are better than Jordan's. And they ain't that much better and they all think he's better? Jordan has 98% better stats, and did it in 5 years less. I don't see how anyone can think a player with less stats is a better player. And Jordan had 2 retirements before his final retirement. 20 years later, most remember Jordan for winning 6 championships (2-3peats). In 20 years from now, most will remember LeBron for winning 4 out of 10 championships. 40% to 100%? SMH. Someone the other day tried to tell me LeBron is better than Jordan because he went 10 times. Jordan is 100%, LeBron is 40% in the finals. LeBron failed them most of those championships. LeBron jumps from team, to team, that are willing to build around him and then he blamed his co-players for failing when he failed them. If Jordan went 10 times, we ALL know he'd have at least 8 of them. That's a fact. Told the kid, "It ain't about how many you go too, it how many you win when you go" and "Jordan has 2 more championships anyways. So that's not even relevant.

@@stxx1982 No he shouldn't have won DPOY. 2013 was the only legit year but Gasol was better. Lbj is jack of all trades, master of none. I would rather take the guy that can completely shut down 2 or 3 positions on the floor, like MJ or Gary Payton, rather than the guy who tries to guard all 5 but doesn't slow anyone down. He can play good help defense for a few seconds, switch over for one possession, and play some good defense on guards but he can not consistently guard 1-5. He can play 1-3 effectively (at times, not consistently) and that's it. Lbj on the heat in his prime couldn't even guard Jason Terry or 22 year old 13 ppg Kawhi in the finals but could legit guard 1-4 in any era? Wtf? He played good defense in only 1 or 2 finals. I'm assuming he's talking about that 51-8-7 performance or whatever it was, which was no doubt incredible, but he lost the game lol. Idc if he was carrying a bad Cleveland team against a great Warriors team he still took an L. Giannis's 50-14-3 with 5 blocks in 41min was more impressive imo. Shot better than LeBron and went 17-19 from FTs to carry his team to a win against the Suns who clearly were and are the best team in the west. Last I checked, MJ still has more championships, more finals MVPs, more regular season MVPs, more defensive player of the year awards, more all-defensive 1st team selections, a higher PER, a higher scoring average, higher winshares per 48 in the regular season and playoffs, eliminated more 60+ win teams, the most total awards in NBA history, the most 200 steal + 100 block seasons in NBA history, the highest scoring average by a Defensive Player of the Year in NBA history, the most scoring titles in NBA history, etc etc

But a lot of what u said was TEAM STATS. Jordan’s accolades was crazy but it’s easy to have all these accomplishments when there’s no other team in the nba that was ever considered better than urs even for a second. This era is different now, players who average 27 and 8 aren’t even top 5 in mvp because the leader has 30 and 15 like what
@PearlJamGuy10
@PearlJamGuy10 2 жыл бұрын
@@buddah4929 no, literally only two were team stats. Teams in the 90s collectively were winning more games especially the top seeded in each conference. Nowadays teams have had some of the worst winning percentages in NBA history, especially 2005-2018. One exception was the organically formed 73-win Warriors who succumbed to injury during the playoffs. And yes I do agree that limitations due to rule changes and implementation does allow for heavily inflated XYZ statistics, it's a sad time for the league. And I also agree that no team was considered better than the Bulls because they had the GOAT, MJ.
@buddah4929
@buddah4929 2 жыл бұрын
@@PearlJamGuy10 no the bulls had a better team than everyone not just because they had jordan. Because if that was the case then why couldn’t Jordan get past the first round before Scottie pippen? U know why because he needed help. And I understand lebron has a lot of help as well but people skip over that jordan had one of the best defenders of all time, had the rebounder of all time, and even had the best shooter in the league at the time in Steve Kerr and top it off, dude had the best coach in the league. And even when jordan left that team they only loss two more regular season games without him, which means that team wasn’t just good because of jordan. U could’ve put any top player of all time in Jordan’s place and prob would’ve won a championship.
@PearlJamGuy10
@PearlJamGuy10 2 жыл бұрын
@Buddah so many misconceptions... for starters, what was Phil Jackson before HC of the Bulls? An assistant with a losing record in the CBA. Those Bulls made a name for him, not vice versa. 2nd, only twice did the Bulls have a better record than their opponent in the finals and at age 35 MJ had to deal with the team that had eliminated Duncan and Robinson's Spurs, Shaq and Kobe's Lakers, and Olajuwon's Rockets but I'm guessing you're a typical millennial who takes pride in downplaying Jordan's opponents, am I right? In both series against those Jazz, age 35 and 36 Rodman average a combined 4 points and 8 rebounds while Malone averaged 24 and 12. By your logic, Ben Wallace, LeBron's old team mate, is twice as good a defender as Rodman was because he has twice as many Defensive Player of the Year awards. And, Kerr? Yes, one of the greatest three point specialists who coincidentally had his best shooting percentage playing alongside Jordan, can't say the same for any of LeBron's team mates however. And, in Jordan's first playoff series victory, I'm sure it was all because of Pippens 8ppg, wasn't it...smh... The 1994 Bulls also had one of the worst 4th quarter scoring playoff runs in NBA history, funny how you didn't mention that, or their 2nd round exit, or how they were one game sub-500 and struggling to secure 8th seed before MJ's return with 17 games left in the 1995 season.

Food for thought: if you replace MJ with LBJ during the Bulls dynasty; will they go 6-0? And if you replace LBJ with MJ during his finals, I'm sure MJ would've won 1-2 of those finals which LBJ lost.
@bjensen
@bjensen 2 жыл бұрын
I think both guys would be worse off on each other's teams. Lebron needs to be at the center of the offense 85% of the time to get the most out of him. That wouldn't have worked in the Bull's Triangle. Though a youngish Lebron with Pippen, Harper and Rodman would have been a very nasty defense! And Jordan with those Cavs would have not been as good. Close, but Jordan was a very good reactive passer, but not as tricky and manipulative a passer as Lebron. And those Cavs teams needed that to be productive offensively. Now, because both guys are all time greats, you can argue they both would have adapted to their new roles just as well. And that's probably true! And Bulls Dynasty didn't go 6-0. The Bulls roster needed those 2 years in between to rebuild, and Jordan needed those two years off to get his head right after everything that happened to him. Jordan would not have been as fresh in 98 if he hadn't taken that time off. Remember, Pippen's body was falling apart throughout 98 Rodman was a shell of himself as well.

It's nice to see LeBron fans finally admit his philosophy of ball isn't sustainable. He should buy into a team instead of making everyone buy into him. An employee shouldn't be making the ceos decisions anyways. Player gotta play. No one is better than each other. LeBron likes control. Ego aside imagine if he was willing to work with some of the great coaches. Spolstra and Riley was the best example of it mind you he played his best ball those years. He made necessary sacrafices and was on the floor supporting his teammates when he couldn't play. A true teamate. You actually played with him back then! Now you play for him which can really disrupt a lockeroom especially when a teamate has leverage to get your fired. Never seen a player assume control like that without the title of GM. Interesting career to say the least. His off the court distractions are a different story lol
