Several species of fish found in the waters around the Florida Keys have been exhibiting odd behavior, prompting marine scientists to investigate the cause of their distress.

My husband and I live on our sailboat. We are currently in the Caribbean. We have noticed that we have not seen Dolphins in months, when we normally see them often. Dolphins use sonar to direct their path. Have you looked into sonar? Some of the windmill win generator companies were using sonar to map the sea floor. Related or not, Dolphins and Whales ended up dead.

Sonar has nothing to do with it, people have been using radar and sonar to map that area for decades already. The temps are rising and oxygen levels are dropping in the water and it's making them sick and confused.

It is from the pollution of the Everglades by the sugar industry that our tax dollars subsidize instead of buying sugar from other countries where it is cheaper.

Sargassum has been around for hundreds of years. It's only getting worse, I remember that horrible smell of sargassum when visiting Key West back in 2019

In Satellite Beach/South Patrick Shores before Pineda Causeway was built (1970), I would see Stingrays on their backs and it freaked me out as I was small and they seemed huge with a spiked tail. It was the outlet ditch for the Patrick AFB wastewater plant. Probably chemicals from the base that are never removed in basic wastewater treatment or poorly treated sewage. SPS is also an area with high cancer rates that have been attributed to a WW2 dump site that the home were built on. Probably, chemicals or residual bacteria from the wastewater process.

You know whether we are the problem or not, we still need a feasible solution. Have any of the scientists thought about sound frequency of a destructive amplitude? Just guessing here. If the phenomenon is confined to a specific section of the ocean, that is something to explore, notwithstanding that the source may be deeply buried.

About a year ago I realized this deep despair I feel all the time can't be fixed by therapy. My first and most deepest love has always been mother Earth... Remember last summer when the ocean's surface temperature and that area was warmer than most people's hot tubs? Remember the incredibly ridiculous amount of sargassum that washed up last year? Remember that we filled the oceans with plastic? Remember that more than half the Great Barrier Reef has died in the last 15 years? The global ecosystem is dying folks and human beings are largely responsible if not entirely.

Oxygen......✔️ Red Tide was their same years now ( takes oxygen from water & hot temperature.) Gas......✔️ Nothing can breath though gas. In the waters from the off coast drilling decades for gas / oil ,same companies from the oil spill decades ago now ( companies have changed their name also due to the large law suits from the oil spill before )

Put your fish tank ( aquarium) in front of the window in side your home in the sun light ( video the aquarium days while leaving in sunlight and NO ventilator in tack ,just water and few fish.) Oxygen out the water will give that same experience to your fish and the hot sunshine.....
