My hypothesis on why fish just seem to forget you are something when you stand still. So a ton of debris lands in water like rocks,branches, dead animal, all kinds of stuff. So fish are probably just used to it by now like “oh new thing came in” and they probably see dead animals falling into the water as cod care packages.

Calling Horseshoe crabs "dinosaur looking things" is pretty accurate considering the buggers already existed back then. Its honestly a bit sad that neither a Ocean wide methane poisoning, a cataclysmic asteroid nor a semi global ice age could kill them in over 445 Million years, but we alone managed to somehow endager their survival in just a couple hundred.
@itsgonnabeanaurfromme
@itsgonnabeanaurfromme Жыл бұрын
I hate it when people say things like "these animals are so old" or "were here back during the age of the dinosaurs" because it means practically nothing. It just means they barely changed or evolved but the animals still reproduced, still died. That animal right there, didn't exist back then, their ancestors did. Just like every other animal on earth. That one just looks more similar to them.

the reason why things are cute to humans is because of kinderschema. Kinderschema is basically the "cute requirements" for humans and animals. Characteristics of the kinderschema are usually big eyes, big head, chubby cheeks, etc. babies are cute cause it makes parents wanna protect their child B)

"I have never seen bluegill this dumb" we had bluegill in the lake by my old house and you could absolutely do this. If you had a hook you didn't even have to bait it for the smaller ones to swarm up next to it and try to get it. We used to catch a few first thing and use the meat as bait for perch, was super effective and easy.

The sound you were trying to name is a collection of techniques in Beatboxing, we generally call em' "Click rolls" or "Tongue rolls". Not sure how that translates to whale noises though.

Probably someone's private pond bluegill. You know, captive raised for pond stocking. I knew a guy that had a pond and stocked it with bluegill and they would come to the surface whenever something got near. I was using a bobber and they'd attack that for a good five minutes before one would realize the food was on the hook below it

we have really dumb bluegill near our house, you can literally just drop your fishing line straight in and they’ll bite in, it’s just drop and pull up. It’s so easy.
