I’m autistic and aquariums are one of my favorite things, I’m so excited for a new aquarium game

ngl, can totally see AVNJ making a tank review with this game if the devs add a way of sharing them

Suggestions for the game, cause I rly wanna help: 3:48 Scroll based camera zoom to be able to see the tank from more distance, but a lot more. It would make it easier to play when you want to have a bigger tank and still see everything. You could zoom in at the fish and also zoom out to see the bigger picture. I would also add the top view. 5:33 love the tank maintaining mechanics they would add a lot to the gameplay. It can also teach people a lot. 7:22 I would suggest a gallery similar to the sims where people would be able to put their tanks for other people to get. Like you can click a button and pay the amount it took for every thing put in tank and it would automatically make this tank for you. Or you could just check the things that were in that tank and try to recreate it yourself. Maybe people could like the tanks and it would give some points for the players. It would give a lot of purpose to creating pretty and detailed tanks. Otherwise a lot of people would make a giant pyramid like AVNJ because they don’t see a purpose in creating something more detailed. This mechanic would give something for your hard work. 7:45 I see a background color change. It’s Soo cool. I would suggest adding some background options to change the vibe around the tank. Also the shelf of the table the tank is on could be also a thing to change. It would give players better immersion into their fish world. 7:50 imagine cursor color or fish options to change. Optional but cool concept 8:20 for new people it would be cool to give some warnings about things like this or at least give the game more with or without advice. If it was somewhere but we just didn’t saw it then no prob. I saw other pieces of advice that were really cool. So I guess it was somewhere. 8:42 I’m sad now :c 9:17 natural plants look really great! * I know that it would be really hard to add to I just suggest it as a future bonus maybe for a part 2 of this game idk. But imagine multiplayer where you can have a tank with your friends. Like not the thing where you play with a lot of random but can just join the id and have a tank with few people and maintain it together. 10:32 I suggest the rarity of the items. For example some simple plants would be cheaper and easier to get in the shop while some would be labeled “legendary” and be harder to get. 12:56 I like the stressed concept. It adds to the gameplay and teaches about empathy for an animal. 14:22 omg that’s right! The sims was originally invented with the same idea in mind so it fits so well!! 15:34 a little improvement so fish won’t glitch but yea bugs happen especially at demo so no worries 16:54 age option should be optional in my opinion. Someone younger would be really sad if they maintained the fish correctly but it died, and they were invested. Like it happens in real life but let the fishy live at least in game. Also some people would spend a lot of time getting the fish they want to make a pretty tank and tehey would have to constantly buy new ones and work on it, or the design would be ruined. Combined with random stores it would be annoying to get the fish you want given the circumstances. But for some people it would be a benefit so the option should exist just with th possibility to turn it off. 20:09 I love that fish have personalities! 21:40 omg I love the new tools. Just wanted to say, since I'm early for once, love you AVNJ. I'm taking a gap year before university and you're one of the people that makes me excited to go into biology. I want to do field research so it's cool to see your videos where you go out and find wild fish! I'm leaning towards ornithology but your videos have definitely made ichthyology an intriguing possibility for specialization. Again, love your videos. I'm so happy every time you upload.

I could see this being wonderful for prepping a new tank, deciding what fish to go with hardscapes and what not! I wonder if they will add marine, brackish, blackwater, etc

i tried the demo myself before watching, theres allot av missed and aside from major quirky performance issues atm but i highly recommend it, fish will have drive to spawn if they are healthy and you can clip plants and observe the growth and behaviour of everything, i imagine the finished game will be far better on even just early access, it is far better than everything that exists right now, just a tier above megaquarium for sure

Will there be fish breeding? Such as breeding discus to get cool variants? I love aquarium games, Megaquarium so far holding top for me as the breeding for guppies and other freshwater fish just made my day.

Amazing, and now I'm definitely nabbing a demo! In the meantime, there's also a smol indie game called Chilliquarium! Its in active development by a solo dev, and the goal is to collect all the fish types! More of a 2D game and doesn't get in depth with the tank care, but has a pretty cool variety of freshwater and saltwater fish & snails!
