Great looking scape , the Montis will be better placed lower then they won’t be shading the whole tank once they get to size

Tbh, they aren’t long lived inhabitants even if you can keep ‘em in 🫤. In small volume tanks (especially w/o a sump) I’ve found it to be really important only use fish that have purpose. And even then, I have made mistakes (mystery wrasse 🥴) Mexican turbos prefer cooler water and have huge body mass. Consider how much load get put on you’re tank if one toasts off in 30 g of water. That’s why I use smaller snail species. Dig your scape, i find I need way more lighting over my reefer 170 to keep sps . I’m running 2 kessil 360 and 2 t-5 cramped over it 😂. Been reefing since 1988! 🤘

Always wondered about that turbo snail situation, definitely going to pass that info along in future videos! This time around definitely going to focus on a proper light and par to grow SPS Never had good success 🤞🏽 hopefully this time it’s a success

Scape looks cool but was NOT efficient on placing coral 🤦🏽

just sub’d to your channel. when i owned a cube20 5 years ago, that aquarium taught me a lot. i kept it for 2-3 years. you have to try & be patient. i’m not sure if that tank was your first reef tank. and yes, small & skinny fishes can get to crevices as small as 1/4 inch. just as my kraken lid was when we had a randall’s goby paired with a pistol

Yes it can definitely be a challenge! I’m one of those that kept jumping in and out of the hobby in the beginning lol

@@whatthereef lol. i understand that for sure. reef hobbyists at times, just like any other hobby, change priorities. i try to keep my aquariums simple as possible. not too much equipment. i still hand dose as i’ve learned my autodoser killed off my sps in a large alk spike. so i hand dose elements in the mornings before heading out. just takes a minute

Yess simplicity is key! When things become chores, then reefs start to think “why am I doing this” lol

Every water change, I take mine out and rinse them in the water i siphoned out so the detritus doesn't get built up in them.

I really like the aquascape and the clowns. I was looking at the waterbox 20 and i was just wondering do you have the stand you can buy with it or something different? If you have the one it comes with it, was it worth it?

Thanks! Stand is nice and flush with the tank. It’s nothing fancy though just a cabinet with a opening in the back for wires.
