I install a Helix 5 Fish Finder and Transducer on to my Grizzly 2072. This was my 1st attempt and it was simple. If you have mechanical skills and a few tools... this is an easy way to save some money on installation fees.

Holy shit. When you were cutting that bunker board I was scared lol. All you had to do was get a car jack and a piece of 4x4 and jack up the damn boat off the bunker.

You should apply marine underwater sealant on any holes you drilled,like 3M 5200.

Hi i wanted to get a follow up on your installation.. how did it go? Did you get a good read from the helix with this installation, no bubbles nothing ? I’m a new princecraft springbok 16’ boat owner and i am kneeling toward installing my fish finder like your installation .. but i will be adding a Teflon plate instead of just going straight in the alluminum ..

It’s still running just fine. It will read fine without bubbles until we reach about 10 mph
