The most informative and cleanest mount video I've seen in detail. I worked with a taxidermist years ago and did the basic parts but never touched a fish and I recently caught a nice bass and by watching these videos I know I can attempt it and do it. Thanks for your time.

Great video series. I think I am going to try my hand at doing my own one of these days. I cant get out to fish as much as I'd like to these days so it may be a while before I catch a worthy candidate. In the meantime I'd love to win the mount, it would complement the smallmouth I already have on my wall that an old friend did for me years ago. This was a great series to watch and learn from. I’m looking forward to seeing the next video in the crappie series as well. Is there any chance you can make a video showing all the tools and workspace required? I know you talk about all your tools before using them but a long format video on that would be really helpful as well

I like the base coat blue/ brown.. I took a photo to use as a reference while trying it on my sons fish to mount, CAN YOU GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT TYPE OF AUTOMOTIVE CLEAR COAT?

I am currently using High Teck 7100 clear & 7101 activator only because it's what my local auto parts store has. There are many quality automotive clear coats available.

I like the use of pear Ex powder for scale tipping. What color did you use for that?

Any tips if I got the bass to dark? Maybe airbrush white and go lighter green ?

Hard to say without seeing it. Much easier to darken than trying to lighten. If it has not been glossed, might be easiest to strip paint with lacquer thinner and start over. But it doesn't hurt to try spraying white first.
