On this fishing trip, I was using a combination of cut and live bait to target catfish. It was a fun morning of kayak catfishing with several blue cats and a couple surprise striped bass being caught. At times fish were fighting over my bait.

Oh how I miss striper fishing the Delaware Bay with my dad. He passed 5/31/13. Spring and fall runs we would bring in 30 to 40+ lb cows all the time. He knew where to find them too. I know Dad is up there catching some big ones and never running out of bait or fighting 3 footers or chop. Stripers are the best tasting fish out there IMO. Shame you can't eat those where you catch them. Thanks again for another great video Justin. Live the dream....FISH ON!!!!

Justin, you do what makes you happy. Making a hobby into a paying job, most people forget to enjoy themselves first and work second. I, for one will watch any vid you want to do just because I kinda like the way you talk. (Sling blade reference). Had a similar thing happened to me Sunday. Was reeling in a blue cat that was probably 7 pounds and when it came to the surface, there was a huge flathead that chased him trying to make a meal of him

way i look at it is, you are't catching anything from the couch so being out is still more productive and better for the soul. props to you a landing them fish on a kyak, i struggle with 2 poles let alone 4.

Always great videos. Nothing beats time on the water. I go out 5 to 8 hours at a time usually. People think I catch a lot of fish but its simply because I put in the hours for sure. 8 hours will usually make sure you never zero. Keep up the good work

I bit the bullet and got 2 setups like yours, they are great! Once the weight hit bottom it is one to one and a half revolutions of the handle.

great video, you said it best don't leave fish to find fish. in the bass tourn. after the limit, swing for the fences. big baits=big fish. bass like big baits too lol. stay safe.

I've caught 2 bass on same bait a few times from them trying to take the bait out of the other fishes mouth before but I've never seen that with catfish that's pretty cool to see!!!!

The coolest thing I've seen 2 trying to grab the same bait with one hooked the only cooler thing is last year when you caught that small blue and something bigger ate him sucks that you didn't get the one that ate him or at least get to see it as long as you fought him but that made a cool but disappointing video I've been there have a major fight and just before sight it let's go of blue gill with the back looking like it was in a vice and just in front of it the hook keep the awesome videos coming your going make a huge channel fishing full time keep them lines tight and have fun fishing brother

Great video as always. One question - when trolling do you find it better to go with the current, or the direction the current would take you if there was any, or do you go against the current? The section I fish of lower Watts Bar has very little current and I’ve had mixed results.
