My dad bought a fisher studio standard brand new in the mid 80’s. I was just a kid but I swear that was the best sounding system I have heard to this day

Good finds. I think surround sound and that system came in the early 90’s. The 80’s system had a different look to them.

I hate to tell you, but Fisher at this point only existed in name only, they were a part of Sanyo, which outsourced a lot of stuff as well. Not to say these aren't great systems. I think this era Fisher speakers are great, but they weren't made by Fisher.

Turntables weren’t in high demand in the early 90’s when this was sold in the mainstream mass consumer electronics markets. They did however make a CD changer that also doubled as a turntable during this era!

Una pregunta, los parlantes Fisher son solo para escuchar musica rock , o se puede también escuchar musica electrónica, digo esto xq me pareció escuchar q los parlantes de esta marca estaban enfocado para música rock, si alguien sabe de esto q me oriente,

@@mauricioportilla5632Hello, maybe I can help you here and certainly you can used them for electronic music. My friends had Fisher Studio Standard speakers by Fisher but they were the model with 15" woofers and they did fine with house and other electronic music. Word of caution thou you can't load a lot of power into them like you could the Certain Vegas which were available in similar stores the Fishers were back in the day.

Stereo components are still made but component stereos are no longer mainstream because the convenience of smartphones, bluetooth speakers, sound bars, and earbuds has killed the demand for real stereos

Back in 1974 I was 14 and my mother (RIP) trained me in what to listen to when it came to quality speakers starting off with a Bogan receiver which I still have but it no longer works. She had Bogen speakers as well .The stereo systems that she purchased back then you could hear every instrument that was being played through the speakers and even more so through the headphones. I still have my fisher rack system from 1990 and the speakers play wonderfully. Because of this training I cannot stand listening to music through a smart phone Or any of the cheap sounding devices that are out today because you miss all of the highs and lows and everything in between the way that music is intended to be heard. To me these smartphones sounds as if I am listening to a transistor radio which is horrendous in sound. Today’s generation is not used to hearing quality sound but thankfully this is still a part of my life so I am keeping my Fisher rack system with its powerful speakers because the SOUND CANNOT BE BEAT!! I also have a Sony turntable which I have attached to that Fisher rack system and it plays wonderfully.! I still have my 160 Gb IPod which has about 4,500 songs that I downloaded/burned and the sound quality is EXCELLENT because of my Bose earbuds. If a person does not know the difference in sound quality between a smart phone with cheap earbuds and good speakers or use of Bose earbuds then they are truly missing out.

No this was not remotely the best the name ever stood for. The last of the decent American built Fisher audio gear was prior to Avery Fisher selling the company in the 70’s. Sanyo did ok for awhile. Yeah it’s all shiny and pretty but that has absolutely nothing to with sound quality and performance. Yes it’s a time capsule, but that’s it. Pays to be around long enough to know the true history of companies.

@@Channel-cm7yc 👍👍👍👍 Fisher speakers never really packed the punch. Take the STV-410M for example...Looks are deceiving but only has a 60 watt output ! I still got my STV-9738FRs' I bought 23 YEARS AGO...2 pairs new still in the box. I felt I got taken for what they sound like when I heard someone else's and was never encouraged to use them. They are a beauty tho with that black marble look which is actually what sold me to begin with!

Componentry yeah but you would have to buy each piece and build your own rack system sir and if you're Hi-Demanding, It'll cost you a "go fund me" for an [all Sony] set-up ! Even if you bought everything on ebay, Its still not gonna be cheap. Only a few prestigious names left in the industry that [still] produce hi-end stereo components...Pioneer, Technics, Teac, Fisher, Marantz, etc are all gone !
