RIVER FISHING FOR SMALLMOUTH BASS!
In this video I went and fished with ‪@FishHawk‬ to catch some smallmouth bass. We went out to a river I used to fish several years ago and is LOADED with smallmouth bass. The water was clear so we were able to see the schools of bass follow in our lures and other fish that we caught. All in all it was a great day on the water and I can't wait to get out and catch some more bass soon!

My favorite fish to go after. For a "smaller" gamefish they pack a lot of punch. They can be numerous and be very willing to strike a variety of lures and baits. And once hooked expect the unexpected. If you like fish that get airborne they're the best among freshwater species in my opinion. It's not an accident that they're a favorite among fisherman across the US. Here in PA they are a fishing staple for many.

I had a hard time watching this because I was so jealous. I LOVE Smallmouth Bass fishing. Even more than catching large Brown Trout on a fly. I just got back from a 3 day camping/fishing trip up in the Gunnison Gorge. It was some tough fishing but I managed a few. My Buddy however hit the jackpot on a few very large fish 20” and 23” Gunnison Rainbows. Great video man!

Great video! You're touching all the bases with me. Having grown up in central PA fishing for Brook Trout and Smallmouth Bass (my 2 favorite fish) is what I love to do. Although trout streams abound in this area I've spent many enjoyable summer days wet wading for smallmouth. Keep up the great work!

Dude, good stuff man! 🙂👍 Gotta admit you (with your brother) and the Hawk are like the two ONLY fishin dudes/vidz I REALLY enjoy watchin...yeah there's other fishin vidz out there, and nuthin against them er nuthin, you guys just bring the fishin to another level...that i can more RELATE to. 🙂 Anyways, keep em comin my friend and props on the catches (not to mention the scenery, DAMN😳) Peace ✌😎

I was almost exclusively fly fishing only for about the last year. As of the last few months however, after breaking my 9ft 5wt, spin fishing for trout, Pike, and River smallies has kept me pretty happy haha

I don’t fish much nowadays, but about 30 years I fished the Rum River in Minnesota. Smallmouth bass was my preferred fish to go after because they are such good fighters.

After watching you fly fish for the past few months I bought a fly rod and filled a fly box with 200$ worth of different Flys. Barbless hooks mean you have keep tension at all times. Much harder, and you don't put holes in the fishes mouth when pulling the barbed hooks out.

I enjoy your trout videos but nothing fights like a smallmouth you should do more of it and I personally love spinner rod fishing nothing wrong with fly fishing but I’m not patient enough for it so I mostly just use spinning gear but I love the big browns also don’t see them get that big where I’m from

90% sure you're hiding the name and stretch of this river, and if you are, i respect it. If you're NOT....uh....what river is that? It's the scenery more than the bass. But it's the bass more than the scenery.
