Where do you purchase green pumpkin powerbait? Have not been able to order it or find it at any local retailer.

In the Bay Area, lakes are too warm now so I doubt retail stores are restocking their shelves. Green pumpkin is hard to find locally. Perhaps next fall. Thanks for watching.

Questions as a new fisherman - Do you have any pointers for Quarry? I was there with my friend earlier, fishing off the dock, facing the cove you were at. About 10 days ago in this said cove, I saw a ton of lightning trout hanging out there but by the time we got there, that spot was filled up with people. In general for this time of year, should I be going deeper or float from above with my bait? Currently using pink head/white tail mouse tails, was trying both 2 ft leader on the bottom rig and on a float. Are there really any hot spots at Quarry or are they pretty much going to be anywhere? What are the chances of the lake getting "fished out"? Hoping to catch a fish soon, been at this for a few months and have caught absolutely nothing :(

Fishing Quarry is tough. It took me 3 months before I realized it was trout season. Once I learn how to rig for them, it became a game. Anyway, lightning trout will not respond to bait fishing. Only lure is best to catch them. There should be Lassens to catch using bait fishing. Cast left of cove on the dock with 36" leaders halfway toward shore. Use orange mice tails or rainbow powerbait. You might get lucky. If that fails, go to fishermans row with the same rig and cast as far out as you can. Again, you might get lucky. Thanks for watching.

@@anglerslifestyle4321 Sweet, thanks for the pointers! If the cove or docks are clear, we may venture over to there. "Fisherman's Row" is that shore between the dock and trees, right? This was my 2nd time to Quarry so learning the place.

Went back to Quarry today, was going to go for the Fisherman's Row (next time) but really wanted to check out "the point" as I like to call it. There's a small peninsula that sticks out the side I set up at earlier where 1 side is shallow and 1 side is deep. I did see a few fish including a HUGE one (no bites) but ran into some issues with both mice tails and rainbow bait. The rainbow bait kept coming off my hook at some point when it was in the water and the mice tails just slowly sunk. This was on a Carolina rig with 3 foot leader. I was using size 8 hooks, not sure if I need to go even smaller to get the tails to float? My friend and I are heading back there this coming friday in hopes for some activity, either we'll try the row or try the point.
