G'day Shroom, geez it's been a while since i fished that area....not the same rickety wharf i fished off many years ago. A great spot though, maybe try further around past Jibbon Beach with heavier gear. Love the vids mate maybe you could try up around Brisbane Waters or even the The Entrance sometime. Thanks Gary, I may need to wear a lifejacket next time because of the new rules, but years ago, it was a great spot to fish. I’m definitely going to try some of those other ideas as well.

Very few youtubers cover Port Hacking. Excellent vid! Would love to see Maianbar sand flats fished for Flatties and Whiting too. Usually good fun there. Grays Point can be good too from the shore.

Yeah I grew up in Maianbar and still go back a few times a year to visit family. Ive never managed to catch anything there and would love to see how to do it haha. Catching the Bundeena ferry to school a few kids would chuck a line out and troll behind it, they caught stuff but I dont recommend it :P

I've caught plenty of Pelagics (Tuna, Mackerel, Bonito etc) but I've always used metal lures though.

Hey shroom nice video i have a question about lure retrieval i normaly hop it twice and let it hit the bottom then wait 5secs and hop it again on paddle tails and grubs about 3inch long is there any better retrieval for more success?

I would go the certate for heavy work. The exist is tougher than it used to be, but the cetate is made for the job

That Mac would make good strip baits, leave it in the sun for a few hours then freeze it.... when it thaws it will be nice and oily and stinky for a nice cut bait.

@ShroomFishing not sure there but I found out the hard way years ago, losing my gear was bad the feeling of being ripped was worse. Now I leave nothing and the glove box open as a sign to potential thieves
