Be sure to remove back strap prior to backing down the boat ramp. 11. I leave the front connected until I know the motor is going to start and run. 12. Safe weather conditions
WHEN YOU GET HOME & Double Cheek Night before next trip out. 13. Charge your batteries back up. 14. Double check your boat plug. 15. If its going to rain, make sure your boat plug is not installed in the boat,

Could you suggest anywhere on caddo for canoe/kayak fishing?

I can indeed. That is how I started on this lake, was out of a kayak as well. If you launch from the state park, start going with the flow of the river, this part of the river is roughly 20-30 foot deep in areas and when you start seeing trees sticking up along the edges of the water, stop and fish those out, I believe it is the first left hand turn you come to, actually a "Y", but you will see it, it is a much skinnier trail that leads off the main river and it is actually part of the Kayak and Canoe paddle trials, that is another good area to go fish as well since most of the boaters pass it by. I hope this helps for a start and I do plan to share some more fishing videos on this lake - bayou system as time allows. Thanks again and I Hope this helps. I have never fished the little pond there by the state park, but I have been right outside of that area on the trees sticking up out of the water and done decently well there as well as the opening going into that pond on the park. @@RyanoRides your. Rey welcome my friend. There is a bait and tackle shop called 3F bait company, if you need worms, crickets, minnows etc they can fix you up. They are a small husband and wife store and make some great meals as well if you guys don’t feel like cooking. When you leave the state park go back to the highway. Take a left hand turn and the bait shop is about 1.5 miles on the right hand side. Enjoy y’all’s trip and enjoy it. It’s a beautiful place to visit.
