Fishing Sandstone Point at Bribie Island

6 ай бұрынIn this episode, Mick and I spend a couple of hours fishing with flesh baits around the rocky flats of Cooks Rocks, an area just off Sandstone Point at Bribie Island. It is easily accessible from Pumicestone Passage or on a good day, Scarborough. We manage a mixed bag of Grassy Sweetlip, Bream and Flathead including a nice fish of 60cm which we choose to release.

@@WL_Outdoors they normally work well the whiting frames , crabs must of been on a rdo that day 🤣🤣🤣

I've caught many a nice Lizard of the beach south of the jetty at bongaree, wont say exactly where but they were great fish. I'm up north now but I'll always remember the old fellow on his push bike with a trailer coming down, walking out into the water and with half an hour gets a nice jewfish. Saw this on many occassions. I am talking of many years ago though. Like close to 30.

Thanks for the kind words, Bevan. It is a Stessco Bowrider 520… has a front cast deck for casting lures but plenty of room out the back for bait fishing too!

On this day we fished the southern side. There is only 0.5-1.5m of water in most of the area at low tide.
