You can't really cockblock a fish as the males fertilizes the eggs outside of the female's body. Good video with good action.

You went to the little pond in White Oak? That's wild! I've only seen dinks there, caught one bass with an inline spinner when I was going for trout. Otherwise, skunked every time. With the lack of rain, the local rivers been good for wading recently.

Back in the late 1970’s early 1980s I would go to Summer Camp in Panama City, FL and they had Grumman Aluminum canoes, much like the one you used. They’re pretty good. The bow and stern have built in air pockets for reserve buoyancy. I loved paddling those things. Wish I had one.

Thank you for the great content. This video (Metal Canoe) was awesome! Looks like you had fun. I had a question about Northern Snakeheads in your area. I used to live on the east coast in the mid 1990's. Back then snakeheads were not a hot topic. Now that they are established, do the natural resources department require you to keep and kill? I live in illinois near chicago (near the electric fish barrier) and we are trying to keep the carps out of lake michigan

So back in the mid-1700's, my ancestor(s) owned the land that was called, "The Patapsco Hundred." He was actually a privateer on the Chesapeake Bay, so not sure if they used canoes. His pirate ship was actually called, "The Pocomoke."

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzfaq.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Dude hiccups are the worst! 😂 They suck. Fortunately for me when I did the one chip challenge, I didn't get them from it, nor any of the other dreaded effects somehow. And thats the two hottest peppers in the world. But I was very red, sweating, and pouring out the tears and nose 😆 That said, the day and area was gorgeous! That alone with being able to enjoy good company and a passion like fishing is a incredible combo to make for a fantastic day out, even when you only manage to land one fish each. Thats really what its all about!
