Hello, I just had a FISKAR delivered today 10/2023 and I was able to prune a tree in about 30 minutes. It was a tree that had a bunch of branches about 15 feet high touching the house, hence a highway for rats. No more ! The blades are super sharp and easy to manipulate.

I’ve been using one of these for a couple of years. It doesn’t come out often, but when it’s needed it is a game changer! Definitely the best pole lopper I’ve come across.

My favorite pruner so far by far, nice review! Might also be worth mentioning, about how high you can reach with it - you can also pull the orange ball at the very end if you're holding it so high that you can't reach the orange handle. Less ergonomic but sure comes in handy sometimes!

This is the best tool I've ever owned!!!!! Amazingly light/strong/functional/sharp.Make sure to get this model, all aluminum expanding pole. The 1st day I owned them I saved myself $5,000 in tree surgery!

Great tool. Thanks for getting the word out. I view it as my "deal" using it for pro work, buy three at a time, and would not bother to use the replacement guarantee I've heard is available on them. They do last surprisingly long with sane use, years.

Have the same pruner and I love it! Have cut some thickesh branches with it and always surprised how it cuts through them. Having that extra long reach comes in useful for pruning small trees.

We've been using the non-extendable version of those for the last 15 years. Every climber has their own on the truck. Amazing for for big and small trees alike.

Absolutely my favorite pruner! Using them close to 15 years, have been through about three in that time frame. The articulated head makes for far superior proper cuts as you can get the angles right. Have wished they would make a bit stouter version though as they always feel cheapish. Always amased at the durability despite the feel though.

I too have been skeptical of the "home owner grade" pole pruners after moving up to Marvin/Jameson commercial grade pole pruners. This Fiskars Power Stroke pole pruner, however, is the Bomb. Everything you have said about it is spot on. This lightweight, well designed pruner can reach remarkedly high up into the canopy, especially when combined with a step ladder or tripod/orchard ladder. Thanks Dan for the recommendation!

I have been using Gardena pole pruners. Especially the shorter non-extendible version is extremely light and useful for pruning from within the canopy. I have yet to compare if the extendible version is heavier than Fiskars.

Can also pull from the bottom for a little bit more reach! I've got a few non telescopic ones and had 1 telescoping one but broke it unfortunately and haven't been able to find them anymore.

Have one for ~1.5 year. I'm happy with it in a non commercial use. You can also buy a clip on saw, it's very sharp, the mount is quite sturdy and it's easy mounted and removed.

They are great for light work, but the head lock wears out pretty quickly from my experience. Also replacing the string/chain system is like performing surgery! Testing a few others for comparison at the moment on our landscaping company.

@tazou19
@tazou19 Жыл бұрын
You can tighten the nut on the orang lock for the head. There is also a spring washer under the orange part that breaks. Not sure where to source it so I'm keeping old damaged pruners for parts.
@radicalpaddyo

@@tazou19 I'm not sure Fiskars do the old locking mechanism any more. It may actually have been better than their new one!

Been using those for years now, they are great. When it breaks, contact Fisher and you get a new one under warranty! Very plastic heavy and sorta fragile, hopefully they come out with a professional line at some point.
