She lost her battle to depression last June.. and watching this right now without her HURTS. But I feel her via the song. not gonna lie here, been going through a lot of shit for the past few years. a dark cloud following me doesn't even do it justice to describe whats been going on. been losing hope, motivation, and all\any signs of happiness. every day im in a fucking rut, trying not to lash out on people. i'm doing my best. i'm not about to ask for a pity party or say this song is the reason i'm alive; but i will say this.. Metal, in its entirety, is my motivation to be better. You are not alone.

@@panellamx5671 It comes in waves. The lows never seem to get smaller, but as I grow older.. I can grasp the idea of “This too, shall pass” Be kind people. A simple smile at somebody, a nice gesture, or even something as simple as looking at people in the eyes when you’re talking to them goes a LONG way. Such a simple thing has helped me bounce back, and grab hold again. Yes, I understand I’m in control, but human too.

Sadly for some people have not won the battle with their depression. I am glad through my suffering and perseverance that I am one of the few lucky once to win that hard fought battle. It was a difficult thing to overcome and even now, I feel like I didn't really win. All I know that I now am trying to enjoy my life and trying to socialize, even if sometimes, I get hit with a sudden curve ball of depression.

It covers my anxiety, depression, dissociation, fear of abandonment, and even the internal struggles that I face. Things that come together to form a sense of hopelessness. This Song alone saved my life. To know that a band this big, understands what its like with clinical depression was something else for me. Its hard to exsplain to someone that you walk in rain, yet you shine frome the out. non of it ever goes inward to self. and thats not our fult. I was born of frost, i was born of rain. Al we can do is keep fighting the good fight EHH! i also live in a town that would rather Abandon the broken then help. So the line. "Tell me what I need,The waters rideing past my eyes" is how i feel every liveing day! To have to feel like you have to die for things to get better. is no place to be in ones mind. To question your own exsitance, is no place to be.But with clinical depression you suffocate anyways.

The more I get to know myself, the more I realize the fragility of Human Existence. When it’s all been said and done, the purpose of life is simply to live. Super cliche.
