Gary is totally right about creating a show around your gym. Barbell Brigade and Christian Guzman with his Alphalete brand and gym do exactly that on KZfaq. Never clicked a AskGaryVee episode so quick. As a ex college basketball player now strength coach / yogi I had to get to this ASAP cause I know there'd be so much value. As someone whose seen every episode. Even when the shows are categorized with a theme people are essentially asking the same thing except in a different shade of colour, and the answers are pretty much the same. As much as I love the show and Gary no one should have any more questions. This show technically shouldn't exist because all the fundamentals 'The Dirt' is contained within 200+ videos. QOTD: Vacanti: 1 week: IG for me is a art collage of the highlights of my life. So it's sporadic, but aesthetically very pleasing to me. instagram.com/alexsandalis/ Natalie: That shit is what I live for 98% of the time. Rashid: Why? Love this question so much because I've forced myself to really go deep and understand who I am and why I am. Even though I have no expectation many are going to read this let alone you, I will answer it because it means everything to me. I want to live in service to greatness. I want to live and create in a way that when people see me, they are inspired and become better just by having contact with the excellence I try and practice every single day. But to go deeper, legacy has become vital to what I do. I'm young as shit but I often think about what if I brought a son into the world and died a week later. Would he be able to look on at his father proudly even though he never created a single real memory? Would he be able to learn from everything I've created and have the necessary resources and information to live a positive life of excellence that I tried to live? Right now I can confidently say yes, I've left a lot for him to learn off. A website curating of hundreds of articles that have shaped who I am. 40+ posts on Medium diverging into the philosophies and values I live by. 60+ KZfaq videos summarsing the most valuable books I've read. I could go on but I say that because I'm proud of it. Why do I do what I do? So I can create something of my name. So I can create the legacy that leaves monumental ripples throughout the lives I touch. So I can create opportunities and resources that can help propel the lives of those I care for. Right now my name don't mean shit. But it will for my children and they're children. And if it doesn't, well I will have lived and died trying too. For that, maybe someone will be inspired to pick up from where I left off and begin their journey.

Mike you looked super buff in this episode. I follow you on Snap and I know you're bulking, so just thought I'd mention it. Gary that point about being personally fulfilled first and THEN to build everything around that is such a huge huge huge huge point and I hope your team extends that into multiple pieces of content. I feel like that's such the basis of everything you say. People are trying so hard to build build build when their internal shit is broken and of course everything they build is going to be shit because they're not personally fulfilled. #QOTD: 1. A week ago. I can feel Gary's disappointment through the screen right now. 2. Definitely noted. 3. Real talk. That's something I've been thinking about and why I've taken some time off recently to refocus on what I'm doing, what I want, and WHY. It's something I didn't take much time to think about since being in action-mode for years now. Best episode yet! Thanks GV + team!

Gary, your initial comment is spot on. It IS a mindset shift. But Natalie Jill backed up the comment well. People have paralysis by analysis. There is SOOO much information that people get overwhelmed and aren't sure WHAT to do with the conflicting information. We are the only industry that continues to grow each year while our biggest indicator (obesity rates) continue to grow. We are failing and growing at the same time. So I call BULLSHIT on anyone who says they can't create content. We are failing. HELP ONE PERSON. 1>0 Have a kick ass day everyone.

Key part of the whole vid. Kudos to you Mike for pointing this out. The fitness is NOT saturated. You were kinder than I would have been. There is not only not a lot of content but most of the content from the fitness industry is CRAP. Yea, there are some really good trainers and products and services ... BUT ... if it isn't the "my way or the highway" or "let me suck water out of you and call that fitness", or income claims, or "only my way works". No, this field is WIDE open. Thanx all. 1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram? Last time I posted was yesterday which was sunday. and I have one planned for today. 2. The next time you post to social media- ask yourself- does it add value? Is it something that's going to make people feel encouraged, motivated, or care? Is it something they'll want to share? I always design and post only things that I feel others can relate to and things that I like. I tend to always think about what I want to post many times over. 3. Why do you do what you do? I do clothing and blogging for personal and helping reasons. I do the blogging to spread the word about an artist or a movie or whatever topic I am touching on. I do the clothing to help get over depression and also be creative and express myself. I always want to be creative and find different ways to express myself. I always want my designs to be a part of me as well as touch other people.

Mike Rashid love your stuff bro, & to answer the morons question about who's the better person, the one who gives in secret or the one who shoots a video and board cast it, it really doesn't matter like you say as long as your giving from your heart. However, I think you showing that your giving to the homeless and posting it on social is a great idea because you are displaying to your following, and the people who look up to you how to lead by example, help others & how to be an overall good person. By showing your charitable contributions, you'll inspire others to do the same. We need more people like you in the world.

I run 2 pages, my own personal fitness/entrepreneurship page (@jaybedreamin) and then my business page(mobile app dev company) (@permoveo). I try to post consistent content that's relevant to my target audience and that provides value to anyone following rather than just noise. I've definitely been slacking on the frequency of posts on my business page, but this video has motivated me to get back to it! Thank you guys
