Think it should be the other way up so the oil in the strut lubricates the seal and the damping work's. Only say this as one of the struts failed on my pop top. I checked up on various place's!

Yo man. I know you don’t have this van anymore but to avoid future errors you actually installed the gas strut upside down.

I've a 2012 Crafter, and I'm wanting to fit bonnet struts, but due to a lack of any info, looks like nobody has done it before, so I'll have a go.

Did you remove the old bonnet stay and clips etc..if you did maybe you could do another vid to show a complete numpty how it's done!👍

😂 You like me want to cheat, I was wondering the same thing, I think if you open the bonnet you should be able to measure it, maybe strut from back door of golf or similar would work, that's what I have in mind anyway
