The old “towing hooks” that you removed are in fact lashing eyes for securing the vehicle in transit. They should never be used for towing. Your new recovery points on the steering guard will do that job admirably.

Love the piece. But I hate the trend of companies putting their huge stamp on the product like that. I get why they do it of course. But I don’t want my vehicle to be a rolling advertisement for your brand lol. Some people love that kind of thing, I’m just not one of them.

The "rust" on the long bolts you pulled out didn't show the place where the nut would have been, why on earth would you put fake rust on a bolt? I'm pretty sure someone else put them on as well.

I'm not really sure what you're saying here? You can clearly see how corroded the bolts are - there would be no reason to put fake rust on them haha

That’s a Land Rover Genuine rack. Although they don’t make them anymore, they do appear on eBay from time to time 👍🏼

I don't understand why you produced a video to demonstrate what is certainly the simplest "bolt-on" addition to a Defender - a total waste of time.

Actually Colin, as someone that was considering one of these steering guards, having an installation video showing the ease of installation was incredibly helpful.

I fitted one about 16 years ago. It was taken off and now want to fit it to my latest chariot. For the young fit, and clear of head ...Its a doddle. But having lost the bolts, gotten a lot older and less able, vids like this are an invaluable.reminder. Definitely NOT a waste of time..and the rather "creative" letter spacing on the number plate only adds to it..!
