After 1 1/2 years of not having a car I finally bought one!
I decided to go with a 1992 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 SportLine to make a 190 Evo II Cosworth replica as I think it’s the coolest car I can build for my budget of $20,000.
The goal is to finish the car by June 1st so I can take it across Canada, to Seattle for Wek Fest on June 9th, hosting car meets with you guys along the way.

In Germany there is a guy that built a evo 2 replica for 10k€ and the bodykit cost like 2,5k from Poland and it fit better. But I have respect for both of you to make the one you have fit and work.

@@adnanlatif9007 his name is Falk Jordan, and the car is called the "Lachs EVO" because it's salmon colored. It has an air ride system, Alcantara Interieur and is road legal, all for 10k. Google the name of the car and there are pictures and articles about it, it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's a cool project.

Hey man. Thanks for uploading many vids recently. Really enjoying them. It really sucks that you got unlucky with your bodykit, you trying to safe money and time by buying an expensive one but then what feels like having to put more time and money into it than into some cheaper ones really sucks but it happens. Keep on thinking positive as you are atm. Also i respect and like your attitude of rather spending a bit of extra money and more time but doing it right. Cheers

Appreciate you sharing this video. There are several "replica" cars I've contemplated building and was always sketched out by the high cost of these body kits from overseas. I would be losing my mind over the quality of this kit after the kind of money you spent. I hope it it holds up ok for you in the end.

Jason smashed half the kit whilst fitting lol, too heavy handed. Also 15k Canadian dollars to fix that rust is a joke, about £1000 in UK.

Didn’t mean 15k to fix the rust. That’s an estimate for all the work to fix the rust, fit fiberglass, repair fiberglass (a lot of it is wavy) prep for it to be wrapped

my friend imported an authentic evo 2 kit to california from germany about 20 years ago but never got around to installing it on his 190e. as far as. i know its still sitting in his garage.

I bought my Evo kits from AS Mods, UK. Excellent quality overall; bumpers, wings, & flares were outstanding. That was pre-covid, think he moved operations to Poland. Maybe the guy some are referencing?

I appreciate its your time and money, but try and repair the rust and have a gonat welding. Doesnt nees to be apot on but some of the areas look dangerous to me. New skill and good content, maybe even reach out to someone

Unfortunately it’s a lot misinformation were you can buy parts especially if you live in USA and Kanada. In Europe it’s a lot cheaper and easier for this European cars.
