FITTING LIGHTS IN HORNBY 37 & 47 RAILROAD LOCOS + NEW SPEAKER IN 37.

Having done the Hornby 66 with the light kit from Illuminated Models to see how that went see my video on it I have now used there kits for the 47 & 37 railroad loco's and as I thought it would be much the same as the 66 install was not going to do anything on it but luckily did take some pictures and this is in know way a full guide on how to like the 66 one I have just highlighted some of the things I found when doing it and the biggest one I had was that the lightboard for the 37 did not match the position of the lights on the body!!! I also show in this the 37 with the new sugurcube speaker before and after and wonder if it was worth doing ??. At the end a little bit of running of all three to show how they turned out.

Another superb video and what a good idea to paint the inside shell of your loco to seal out the light. Your style of presentation reminds me of the late Jack Hargreaves (remember him?)

Hi Robert, you are one of my favourite channels, I watch all of your videos without fail. Your fixing lights in the 66 was specially interesting and this one with substitute speakers shows the difference between el cheapo TTS one and the sugarcube. Looking forward to your next update. Regards Rob

Hi Robert- As always an informative video and yes the speaker changes do make a diference I find the TTS speaker is ok for the Class 50 and for some steamers but others can be a little tinny. And as you say its an easy fix . Good work on the lights which I totally agree makes a difference and is something I am looking to do on my Hornby Class 66s.

Great stuff as always Robert. In answer to your question as to whether it was worth changing the speaker yes of course it was particularly if you got enjoyment from doing it then it's got to be worth it. Good to see your subscriber numbers getting up towards 1K. Look after yourself

The class 37 is one of the best sounding locos by far I think robert , change of subject I brought the hornby 9f heavenly weatherd from Amazon as was on offer amidtidly being the railroad one the quality of it was so bad I sent it back it looked like it had just been painted the most horrid green there was just touching it all rubbed of very disappointed as one loco I've wanted for a long time ok mate keep safe and keep the videos going

Nice job Robert and a unique 37 to boot. The 37 certainly sounds better. Pity about the 66 speaker blowing though. Maybe turn it down as you said yourself atb Andy

You sounded like you'd gone into slow motion, if you don't mind my saying so. Excuse my stammering here, you're not to blame for it. It's just that Tony North Eastern accidentally freaked himself and I out. His LNER Ghost Engine Night Hawk is haunting one of his railway stations. That's why I'm acting like the scaredy-cat I sometimes am. We all get scared of something sometimes. Earl of St. Germans made me smile at the beginning and the end. I hope I'll see her in a steamy Christmas running session. If you can't fit it in before Christmas, leave it till January next year.
