Fitting Volvo V50 HSD Coilover Suspension - Also C30 S40 C70 and Ford Focus Mk2

We fit a set of our HSD coilover suspension to Starkeys Volvo V50. This process is the same for Ford Focus Mk2 (inc ST) Volvo C30, S40, C70 and Mazda 3.

They always come out easily if you jack up the whole assembly high enough😁 it almost falls out by itself. The nut can be a pain in the ass though

I replaced the shocks on my v50. I just removed the whole spindle. While holding the spindle upside down i beat it with a hammer, and then the strut tower fell out.

Thanks for posting this, question regarding the top hat for the read - is that a Volvo OEM top hat or ones that came with the coilovers? Could you share the part number for the top hat? Thanks!

Hey, our kit comes with new top mounts for the front and the rear :)

They are Mk2 Focus ST wheels.

You say they fit the second generation C70? But do the rears cope with the extra weight of the mechanical hard top? If so I will buy them.

Hey, these will fit the 2nd Gen C70, We can spec these with harder rear springs if you do find the rears to soft. These are all in stock ready for next day dispatch :) let us know if you have any more questions

From stock height..how much lower are these Coilovers?

They are adjustable, and go as low as most people would need. Starkeys car (in this video was very low)

Did the snowflakes clear the struts easily? My snowflakes barely clear the stock struts on my s40.

They do not fit a V40, our Mk3 Focus Coilovers will fit your V40
