I’ve one of these. I’ve got up to 235kw on a fast charger. I’d be calling Brian if I didn’t have one already.

Still my favorite electric car after the Ioniq 6 was not what I expected it to be. When calculating charging times, I would add 10% for conversion loss. The efficiency is never 100% when converting AC to DC.

What would the realistic ranges be for winter/summer on the 58kWh battery?
@doolanbrian3 ай бұрын
Good question, so the worst I’ve seen in the middle of winter in under 0° freezing conditions and motorway speeds is around 280 km. Most people then finishing up circa 330 km comfortably during warmer weather and you can do better if you are nice to the car and the weather is warm.👍🙂

You're never going to charge at home??? Crazy talk, people charge at home 90% of the time. Yes at 2kw an hour. Overnight electric rates are half price around my way.
@doolanbrian3 ай бұрын
I think you maybe misinterpreted this 🙂 very few people use the granny .. most people use the 7kw charger at home 👍
@UTube-gs1yf3 ай бұрын
@@doolanbrian Nah, most people just plug it into a socket - which costs nothing to buy or set-up. Sure if you have unlimted money, no sense, or your commute is more than 200km a day you pay extra for a 7kw installation.
@doolanbrian3 ай бұрын
@@UTube-gs1yf Australia must be very different to Ireland , in Ireland very few people have outdoor plug sockets . Circa 95% of the EV’s we sell are run on 7kw home chargers. People here also want to capitalise on a very short 3/4 hour window overnight where electricity is cheaper so they want to pull as much as they can in that period 👍
@UTube-gs1yf3 ай бұрын
@@doolanbrian Wow, people being oversold stuff I guess. VERY few people need 400km of range daily. How much does it cost to install and supply?
@doolanbrian3 ай бұрын
@@UTube-gs1yf about €1500 for a good tethered one less government grant of €300 so net circa €1200
