The Harry Potter Alliance from the Ika tribe on Season 42 was fun. Lasted one episode and they targeted each other. And the remnant of the Harry Potter alliance could have joined an all-women's alliance (Drea, Swati, and Tori), but Swati wanted to target Drea, and the Harry Potter alliance still targeted one another and the women's alliance failed too.

I don't really blame Caryn for not siding with the women's alliance with Katie. At the time of that vote, she may felt that Ian and Greg could break through against Tom in challenges that were designed for his strengths. Alternatively, she may have felt that others could beat Tom in immunity challenges that tested different skillsets. Katie had to lay the groundwork and build social relationships with Caryn if she wanted to make a flip like that. We saw in the pre-merge of Palau that Tom invested in his relationship with Caryn. From the TV show, it appeared that Katie put no effort into making relationships with those in the minority.
@frida.78312 жыл бұрын
Caryn could never win against Ian or Greg either. I do blame her. She already had The Amazon and Pearl Islands to know how the game should be played if you want to win. It doesn't matter if I don't like her, I would take Katie to the end everyday over Tom, Ian or Greg.
@Pshemscoslav2 жыл бұрын
I completely agree, it makes some sense for Caryn to flip, but she was this kind of contestant who , I think, wanted to play with the people she'd trust, and clearly she wasn't trusting Katie (as seen multiple times) and she saw Stephanie as the biggest target (and I can understand why, especially since Stephanie was under weird assumption that she was going to reach the end with Tom, Ian & Katie, completely ignoring what Coby has told her). Also, if I remember correctly, she tried to flip on Tom and Ian in the Final 5 and Jen and Katie screwed that up. So I believe that the blame was on every woman that was suppose to be part of that alliance, including (of course) Caryn.
@rilenaveen56952 жыл бұрын
Yeah but relationship or no, ANYONE other than Caryn could see Tom was running away with it. When even the person you are saving (Tom) thinks you made a stupid move, maybe you (Caryn) just aren’t that smart. Relationships are nice until it’s time to cut bait. I legit think her telling Tom is too 5 dumb moves in Survivor.

Tbh in Palau, the girls should’ve had Jenn approach Gregg instead of Caryn, I think she could’ve convinced him to flip. Maybe not since he was so hyperfocused on Stephanie being a threat for some reason. I mean she kinda was in the sense that she had a good story going into FTC and was likeable but she also literally lost every single immunity challenge, you’ll have another shot at her. She’s not a bigger threat than the guy who’s won literally everything and has a blatant final 2 deal with Ian, the guy who was about to backstab him the very next vote. I actually don’t blame Caryn for spilling the beans, yeah it probably would’ve been better for her to go with the girls but Tom was like the one person she had a relationship with so I don’t blame her for sticking with him, Tom was kinda her best option moving forward. But Gregg was dumb as balls, absolute garbage tier player tbh.

I think Caryn was screwed just for being...Caryn. But I admitted that was an stupid move by her, even Tom couldn't believe it, Gregg and Caryn for me are F-tier players

The incredible thing is watching this I had to fact check that Game Changers was after the Second Chance. Either have all winners or no winners. The reason this may be important to considered is in 2024 a 48th or 50th season may be a returnee season. The new era has some amazing players that all of us would like to see play again. It seems like Survivor is holding off on a returnee season to make things special but I desperately hope they get Survivor gets the next returnee season right

I mean she tried to take out Tom as no one didn't think about taking out Tom I also find it funny that she got ridiculed for sitting out of so many challenges despite the sole reason was because her tribe was dominating. Fun fact: Tom holds the record of being the least venerable winner only being available to be voted out 3 tribal councils and if you include the schoolyard pick elimination than he ties with Michelle Fitzgerald for being a option to be eliminated 4 times not counting Chris since he was technically voted out.
@roger_towny_jr2 жыл бұрын
@@cdawg4021 Correction: Yul in Cook Islands has that record. He was vulnerable at a grand total of ZERO tribal councils the entire season cause his idol could be played after the votes and noone ever flushed it out.
