Gotta love it when none of these Natural 1s are from the Wil Wheaton Dice Curse episodes. I mean, these are pretty hilarious in their own right...but there's nothing like watching the mental breakdowns of everyone trying to figure out how Wil Wheaton can defy math and physics.

What about recently when Beau hit a natural one, swore loudly and Caleb went deadpan, “That’s the goal”? Suddenly everyone but Caleb burst into laughter with Matt going “Even when Beauregard loses, she wins.”

I think I’ve also rolled the most Nat 1’s out of the group lol. But I will say, in clutch moments, I’ve had good rolls so I guess that’s how the universe balances everything lmao

You can add Laudna's 1 to the list. Also, for future DMs, you do not sink in lava. You will bounce off it like hitting concrete. Any fall from height into lava should take falling damage on top of heat.

I thought, at first, you could cast Feather Fall on the chicken to give yourself a better shot. But Feather Fall has to be cast on a Creature. So, when the servant throws the chicken, you first have to cast Animate Dead. THEN you can cast Feather Fall, and it will be a much easier target!

My group didn't use "critical fumbles" so much as it was "if you roll a 1 funny things are going to happen". This eventually mutated into someone throwing their weapon. Then they roll a d8 for direction, and it goes 1d4 squares in that direction with the rule that if someone is in that direction it's an automatic hit and they roll just to see if they accidentally crit. Campaign "mid point" PC's have solved a major puzzle, gotten guidance from a goddess, amassed an army and charged a giant hive of monsters. The army buys them time to infiltrate. They sneak by the guards, and work their way to the stairs going down. A fight breaks out. Inquisitor goes first, charges... nat 1, throws his glaive off the stairs and cringes as he sees it go but doesn't hear the sound as the temple is deep. NPC bard that they all adore starts singing. Fighter charges in with his great sword, rolls a 1, rolls D8, rolls his D4, his great sword goes flying directly into the bard, he rolls, nat 20, confirms, rolls max possible damage. 1st round of combat 2 nat 1's, 1 dead beloved NPC. That dungeon was hilarious. Note, this method of nat 1's was mostly my players idea as I usually just gave some fluff as to how they failed and maybe granted an aoo or something. The inquisitor actually killed a boss during the campaign by accidentally throwing his glaive into the boss.

Ah- memorable Nat 1s.... Mine was when Avery (my Rouge) tried to sneakily open a door to get out of someone's house before he noticed us... Nat 1 and I pushed a pull door so hard I put my fuckin' elbow through it. Needless to say- I was spotted.
