Getting my driver's license in the 80s it was fun to take my parents car down the old rail streets and 'ride the rails' that still existed then. If you did it just right, the ride would be amazingly smooth. lol

I rode one of the last, between Sept '63 and Nov '63 with my Readiness Class as a field trip!

Several of the overhead line poles from the streetcar system still exist in various locations around the city. Some still survive simply as a support for road signage while others were jointly used to support trolley wires and traffic lights, and still see the latter use. You can spot them by the top cap, which will either be round or a pointed bulb shape.

On Bel air road 16001/2 is a street car, later bus turn around. The Overlea cab company dispatcher would prank the new drivers. Giving a pick up call at that address and when the driver would call in because he couldn't find the address. She would tell him the potty at the bus stop. Lol

Good talk GM was part of the oil conspiracy when oil, tire and car makers put trolleys out of business to promote consumption of their products. They were caught and got small fines
