Thank for you letting everyone know about the great history in this park, and that makes it even more shameful that it's been left to become a center of drug and sex activity. Never go there alone, and never at night. I hope someone or some organization restores this park in the future.

The one thing that would improve the place is to cut down all those trees at least near the shore and restore it to grass. In the 80s, it used to also smell bad there due to all the chemical companies and Sparrows Point plants but that has been greatly reduced. Yes, it does have problems as mentioned and don't back into a parking space because you will get solicited as that is a sign you want "something". I don't think AA County is interested but I wonder if the city could turn it over to them like they did with Fort Smallwood.

We picked the same day to explore Ft Armistead. I realized I had never visited the park and it a snow day seemed like the perfect time, It's in pretty sad shape, definitely forgotten by the city. Perhaps Starscape took it's toll and the city has left it to mother nature.

I generate the bulk of the content for my youtube channel at this park, it is a great place to watch ships coming and going. I do also love the fort part of the park but I would advise watching where you step because there are some holes in the concrete which would take you quickly and unpleasantly to some of the lower areas.
