Technically, they were right, but not in the way they expected. Springtrap/Springbonnie was a springlock suit, which is a wearable costume that doubles as an animatronic. So Springtrap is technically a hybrid, he's just not a hybrid of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy like everyone had theorized back then.

This trailer is made so much better by seeing the game and it’s ending, the phrases “He always comes back” for Afton, the way the text turns red and blood starts pooling underneath it akin to the Springtrap death cutscene along with just the scene of Springtrap presumable moments after getting Springlocked.

8 years later and it’s still the best trailer Scott ever made. So many theory’s came out for what Springtrap was, Despite having bunny ears they still thought it might be Fredbear. And others thought it was A mix of all the animatronics. No body thought it was the Man who caused it all.

Shenzi Marie you’re perfectly entitled to your own opinion, but it’s my opinion that fnaf4 was actually the series’s best, mostly because the controls are unique while still keeping the classic formula, and it’s the only game in the series that has continued to actually scare me after all this time. But again, you can believe what you want, I won’t judge.
