I delight in hearing your kids in the background. At this season it is so relatable for me. I also LOVE when you talk about the importance of having a sense of identity and creativity while still enjoying your children and serving your families needs. It’s a hard balance, but I agree that it’s so essential.

I absolutely love the strawberry 🍓 broaches!! I hope more people start wearing them again! My great grandma always had one for every occasion. 😍🥰

Oh my goodness, I adore each outfit but I think my favourite has to be the StrawBee Brooch and plaid dress…!!! You look amazing in all of them, but the last one is so perfectly sweet and gorgeous. I’m not gonna lie, I wish I had that dress and hat to wear with my brooch, haha ~ Thank you so much for the lovely video, I am excited by how much you noticed all the details I put in, it’s definitely something I love to do and knowing it’s something which is appreciated just makes my day! Your an amazing friend and mama, plus an amazing artist yourself gorgeous lady! I was really touched by your words at the end, I feel the same that as women we should be encouraged to have dreams and space to pursue them even as mothers (SAHM or not), they don’t have to be big or huge, as long as they bring us joy. Creativity helps our souls blossom, and that’s definitely something good to model to your family 😊💖

It is so important to have hobbies and creative outlets as moms! I'd love to know about how you keep motivated to write and complete your works. I know you mentioned that you likely have ADHD. I have it and always really struggle to finish any writing projects. I think I can count on my hand how many I've -actually- finished lol. I tend to write in big bursts and then lose steam or ideas. I cannot for the life of me outline 😂I've tried setting aside a particular time to dedicate to writing but if I force it, I'll just stare at my computer screen and inevitably get distracted as hell by something else haha

I've never once outlined a story, but something that does help me is giving myself leave to write whatever the heck scene or story I want! And when I get stuck or bored, remembering that like... it's my novel, I can write what I want. I'm currently in the middle of a scene that isn't super fun for me so I brought in a secondary character to spice it up and it changed the game. Who cares if it isn't 100% accurate, I like it and that's what matters!
