I'd guess those planets are just orbiting a shared external barycentre, like Charon and Pluto do -- orbiting mutually because their centre of mass is just a point in space between them instead of inside one of them like Earth and the Moon. Anyway, happy to see this Five Parsecs From Homecoming!

Every episode you do shows so many ways to play the game. You do some of the best batreps for any game I've seen. That rage out at the end was a lot of fun. I could see your captain in my mind's going nuts. The nailbiter escape at the end was so dramatic. Thanks for all the great content.

Congratulations for the wedding! Best of wishes! 1st with the 1 inch knockback on damage rolls under Toughness, you could shoot after moving trying to make the robots fall from height (relevant on the turns 5+). Because of the falling hit (damage +0) you could create 2 stun markers at one attack while at the same time getting the enemies out of melee range

Ship to ship combat using same rules would be so cool! Glad you took some life time. All work and play is fun but we all have to have real life stuff too. I love world building and have been really getting into creating adventures and worlds around sci fi and fantasy blending. Love it. Everything in and under the stars.

Im loving this series, its also interesting to see the differences between 1E and 2E 5 Parasecs. Im running 1E at the moment, its a lot more lethal! Congratulations on the marriage!

Congratulations and welcome back. One thing I have never agreed with in the rules is travel time. Effectively zero according to Ivan. Yet if we have an event table dedicated to it, then it ought to not be zero. I agreed with the old Traveller view...a trip from star to star along the star lanes took a week. That week gave the crew a chance at downtime, recovery, maintenance on equipment, and training. My house rule is one trip...one whole campaign turn...INCLUDING campaign events.

Give it a name, and who knows, it might be someone the captain knows without knowing or a spy that works for some special someone if you catch my drift. ;)

This was a really great episode! The four-round goal may have been harsh, but it made for a tighter video overall. Johnson-Tanaka Corp is sounding pretty intriguing, so I hope you decide to stick around Aberdeen. The terrain alone is making me want to play this. Oh, and congrats on the wedding!

Congratulations on your marriage - Hope you and your spouse have many happy years together. (I think a double planet would be two planets orbiting a central gravitational point outside of each of them, close enough in size to each other for neither to really count as the other's moon.)

I think this could have been played more sneakily: I would have had the robots move randomly until a character is designated as an enemy. This designation would occur if a robot is attacked or if they come within 6”. Once an enemy is discovered, all the robots would move to engage that enemy.

Great episode as always. Something wonky about that scenario, though -- if you hadn't happened to both seize the initiative AND have a Rage Out to boost your speed, it would have been impossible to complete the objective in time. 🤔
