The reason 3 second try is 14 and up is because of the Magnet. Like the game "Kluster". It's the law.

Have to say someone bought Viking see saw to our games group and we had a blast with it. Also the cool little production and qwirkiness makes it stand out from the other games you mentioned. I'm with Mike on this one

When Tom mentioned that Mike was editing this video, I half-expected a bit where Mike sloppily edited Tom's words to make it a more positive review.

I am a fan of dexterity games and I kind of like Viking See-Saw. The fact that the various pieces have different densities and shapes make it interesting. The balls in particular are interesting because sometimes whether the see-saw tilts depends upon what crevice the ball rolls into.

It's really charming and well put together. Its a good game. With great toy factor. The different materials like you mention are what elevate it. You see wierd and wonderful shapes in dexterity games all the time. Switching up the materials seems pretty novel. The the fact some of the lighter items are extremely akeard to stack on top of means they have their tactical uses too, which is neat.

Important rule in Judge Domino missing from your explanation is that the active player must bid success when challenged, and players earns points equals to numbers of wrong guesses than you. So the active player needs and tries to "bait" other players to think the just-placed domino will fail to run and bid so, while actually manages to succeed it.

I liked the look of Viking See-Saw when you guys played it live one time. Feels like that was a year ago. Been waiting to see if my game store gets it here in Canada.

Weird, there appears to be some sort of editor's note in here under the Viking See-Saw score... it says "Tom is... an...." I can't make out the rest.

I think Stick Collection is brilliant. The lucky spots are a great wrinkle that help escalate the bidding. It's been riotous fun for me. It genuinely has potential to be one of my favourite 'super-fillers'. Viking See-saw is great reliable fun. Judge Domino was a pleasant surprise with more depth than I expected. But still, not a lot to it. Ninja Master was fun. But probably my least favourite. With certain groups, it could be brilliant though. Yet to try 3 Second Try.

I wonder if the ball is the reason 3 second try is 14 plus. Don't they have to perform and pay for additional safety testing to go the next age bracket down?

Mike should have taken the opportunity to do some 'clever editing' with the Viking see-saw portion of this...

The 14+ is to skirt the CPSC rules of lead testing. Later copies of zooloretto had this.

I think a lot of these would work well for people who only want to play a quick game- especially kids and teens. The stick one has an interesting concept. If these were cheaper, I would definitely pick them up, but they’re pretty pricey (nearly $40 each in Canada) for what they are. It these were under $20, I could see them doing pretty well.

Feels like a big game got split into 5 parts. That big game could be good. The sticks did remind me of Tokyo Highway so guess they had spares.

We decided to only get Viking Seesaw, and it sounds like it was the right choice. Don’t know why Tom isn’t so keen on it, as we found it a blast. Maybe it’s player count as we played at two, or maybe Tom has managed to get the rules wrong 😇

I could see little kids playing 3-Second Try just going around the room, drawing a card, skipping the bidding part then doing the thing (body or brain, so all kids can participate). It would also work with an egg timer so it’s easier to hear in a room with little kids jumping up and down. The more I think about it, the more I vaguely remember having a kindergarten teacher who played almost the same game with us. For an inexpensive little box game for grownups and parents, this is the only one I’d buy out of the set.

Yeah, these games definitely felt like they were restricted by the box size and components. Unfortunate, given that the production seems well done

Magnets are a no-go in children's toys which is probably why it's 14+. More targeted at anything with more than one magnet, as swallowing two can be fatal for a child.

Tom doesn't really do them much justice to be honest. Viking Seesaw is my favourite dexterity game and has gone down extremely well with everyone I've played with so far.
