As a rider I love to do one or two longer trips with my motorcycle. The Alps is one of those places that i come back to once in while. This years I got to see the Dolomites on the back of a BMW R1250RS. After a week I have to admit these are by far the most spectacular view that i saw in my life!

Stelvio pass is a very beautiful mountain pass but unfortunately a very crowded one most of the time... There are so many passes to choose from in the Alps.. My personal favorite is Klaussen pass in Switzerland and also Stelvio if you get there on the right time without 2 million other vehicles..

Try Gavia pass is nearby Stelvio, and Gotthard Tunnel and old paved road in Switzerland close to Klausen.

The BMW R1250 RS is a great choice. The Stelvio Pass is so awesome riding a bicycle too.

I rode in the Alps for the first time over two glorious weeks in the summer of 2023. It was the best experience that I have ever had riding motorcycles. My lifelong riding buddy and I did a self-guided tour of the Alps that was organized by Adriatic Moto Tours. This is an outstanding motorcycle tour company based in Slovenia. They offer guided and self-guided tours + motorcycle rentals for adventures throughout Europe. I highly recommend giving Matej, the owner, a call. He and his experienced staff will help you plan an adventure or two of a lifetime. We were blessed with great weather during our 15 day adventure through Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria and Germany. So many amazing roads, passes and jaw-dropping sights along the way. I want to do it all over again, probably with some deviations to ride the many roads and passes that we just couldn’t fit in. Okay, this has got me worked up to plan my next adventure there. It’s time to break out some maps!!!

I would like to do a ride in the Western Alps. Maybe a trip to Greece after that. So many great places to ride in Europe.

What’s cheapest motorcycle tours to do the alps? What’s the best place to fly in and rent a bike at to do the Alps? Thanks

There are lots of German, Polish, Italian companies doing such tours. You should check on-line for them, my suggestion is to go for the Polish one, they ussually are cheaper.
