In 18 I gave my wife 100k to by any car she wanted, we test drove every SUV imaginable and nothing fitted just right with us. But right before giving up. We test drove cx9 signature. And we both both agreed that it drove like an X5 but was even better because it was made in Japan and now almost 6 years later and 87,000 miles we don’t regret getting it and are strongly considering trading in for CX 90. Reliable all these years.

From some angles, the CX70 looks luxury tier. From other angles, it looks bulbous and awkward.

@@BradMistry2016-18 was peak Mazda design IMO… elegant yet VERY simple (particularly under the hood for the most part). After that, it was weirder headlights, more complex crap under the hood (cylinder deactivation?! FOR A 4 BANGER?!) after 2018-19. The latter might hold up overtime, but the more complex, the higher likelihood for EXPENSIVE problems; especially in the first year or two of said additional stuff. As I personally intend to average around 30 something thousand miles per year foreseeably…

When you are talking about X5 , you are talking about B58 and 8 speed ZF. Powertrain is at another level.

@@night5091 it won’t. There’s an audience for this. Empty nesters who don’t need the extra seats but want a big cargo area. We’ll see the price difference between the 2 next year when the CX-90 is in its 2025 model year.

I was ready to buy the CX 90 last week until the sales person said the 70 was coming out soon.I need a big back seat. Not a 3rd row.Would you say the rear has lots as of legroom??

I have driven both. The Mazda certainly gives the "vibe" of an X5 on looks. Just don't drive the X5 first. 😂 The CX-70 is definitely a beautiful and reliable choice, though. It's definitely bang for the buck!

@@smar1208 I've driven several BMWs, and bought my mother a 550i, which she owned for 8 years. I drove it countless times and handled the maintenance for her. I've also been a Mazda owner myself for nearly 30 years. Including four RX7s, a Millenia S. my current 2015 Mazda 6 GT and our recently purchased CX-90 Turbo S Premium. My comment wasn't a "guess" or an assumption.

The Cx-70 appears to be THE EXACT SAME VEHICLE as the Cx-90; but completely without the 3rd row. And a handful of reviewers are almost PANNING this car because of that and that reason alone.

I’ll take the CX70 over the BMW X5 , CX70 reliability kicks the BMW in the butt , after two years the BMW will be leaking oil guaranteed !

Why compare to bmw, bmw has electronic gremlins. BMW sucks to own! All German vehicles suck to own after the warranty runs out. Don’t know how reliable Mazda is after 200k miles!
