The wind deflectors are awesome, you can leave the windows slightly open when it's raining without any water getting inside. And they make it quieter when driving with the windows open. Coupled with the fact the Alphard has dual sliding doors each with driver controlled electric tinted windows, it really is such a nice vehicle to own.😊

You have a 25-year import rule, right? That is such a shame. There's tons of great cars out there. But equally I think you've got some great vans over there that can be converted.

5 things I love about your camper van...everything. what make and model is this? Seen them a few times but never as a camper.
@OperationSolitude2 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris. Thanks for your comment. It's a Toyota Alphard imported from Japan. I think in recent years they've become much more popular given they're a decent size and reasonably priced. Let me know if I can help with any more questions.

@@OperationSolitude awesome, thank you. Always thought they'd make good campers. The look quite unassuming as well so perfect it you have to stealth camp. I will do thank you my friend.

Isnt this van registered in Isle of Wight when imported because it has a HW plate?
@OperationSolitude2 жыл бұрын
It is registered in the Isle of Wight, yeah. But there's no importing required because it is part of the UK and treated like any other area. So it really is a case of just driving it home like any other car, luckily!
@terrificspokesman74162 жыл бұрын
@@OperationSolitude by imported I mean from Japan. I live in Southampton so cars that are registered here have to have a H plate which stands for Hampshire. HW is for Isle of Wight which I think it stands Hampshire White or something along that.

Sorry for the late reply. KZfaq was holding your comment in review for some silly reason. But I did not know what HW stood for, so thank you very much for enlightening me. I love tidbits of information like that.

What car is this
@OperationSolitude2 жыл бұрын
Hello. It's a 2008 Toyota Alphard. They are made and sold specifically for the Japanese market, but you can import them into the UK like I did (and, of course, other countries). Let me know if I can answer anymore questions you have . Wikipedia is also a good starting point - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Alphard?wprov=sfla1
