Crossovers are so fun. On a big turn I can do 7 or 8 at a time and I can do crossovers while moving forward. Skating is so so so so so so soooooooo much fun

I personally find ice skating to be the most fun but it isn’t something you can do everything because the fact you need a rink and not everywhere has good access to one close by. The closest to me is 20 minutes and it isn’t even open to the public except near the holidays. If you want to use it as a mode of transportation I would think roller blading and I think it’s better to control your balance. I like roller skating but I was more scared to fall forward and backwards because of how the wheels are position

Crossover is really useful, i learned it roller skating and i use it in roller blades, 7 years of rollers skating can help your balance quite a bit haha

what i do is catching some speed, inner foot (the foot closer to the edge of the turn) is straight, and the outer foot getting away from the other foot and putting some weight on the outer foot

Once I tried to do the monster turn because my dad said it was the easiest... I did it and did a full on split. I can't do splits it just hurts when I try. I could not move for a few hours and it hurt like hell. I'm gonna stick with the steps

Literally i don’t get why can’t i learn any of this… it really kills all of my enthusiasm that i have been trying to learn how to roller blade or whatever its called for a month now and nothing seems to work for me. And i have been practicing very consistently almost every day. I feel like selling my roller blades and giving up entirely because i am still struggling to just go forward without falling. I can’t break, i can’t turn and my going forward is terribly slow and unbalanced and i fall a lot 😒
