I am 50+ year old man and apart from 4-5 ice skating lessons 20 years ago, I had never tried any other kind of skating before. Dear Dasia, I have been wanting to skate for some time now. I was sheltered as a child. Lonely and never learned more than bikes and scooters. With increase in popularity online I wanted to learn to skate so I could have some lovely new way to groove to music and express myself. I finally went to the skate shop and ordered my skates but it'd take two weeks to come in. During my inspiration time while waiting I watched this video. I practiced the movements and wondered if it'd really be that simple. Well. I threw everything in my car, got to the abandoned basketball court I'd had my eye on for a month as I debated possibilities and I stood up. Practiced and I did it!! I was gliding along with you. I was even turning around using the v and when I went a little too fast I just fell back into that v with the tight thigh and slowed myself. Even if I accidentally felt like I'd be going backward I remembered your words. It was a magical first experience and it was only my first 15 minutes on skates! Here I thought I'd be on my butt in two seconds but your instructions and helpful tips in these and other videos inspired me and enlightened me that it's kind of like riding a horse. Something I have much knowledge in. Once I understood that It all seemed to click. Thank you. Thank you so much for these videos. You are an angel and I am so grateful for your content. You got this 30year old newborn bambii on her new feet. ❤

I learned to skate as a little kid back in the 80s. I would skate for hours in the neighborhood or at the skating rink. It never occured to me how to explain how to do it. Your video is excellent!!! I was trying to teach my little kids how to skate but i was all over the place and just kind of showing them what i do instead of giving good tips or actual advice. I will definitely try again and this is super easy to understand and explain. Youre the best!! And your skates are so cute!!! ❤❤❤❤
