Louise, I did similar. Rescued 2 abandoned hunting Dogs. We all should do what we can do improve the life of such bad treated dogs. Seems we know better and care about. You are a Hero and I love you for your pure Soul.

The SAD, RED (sickly?) eyes. The HOPEFUL eyes. I can't imagine why someone would want to keep them this way wouldn't also eagerly give them away immediately. This is FANTASTIC. Congratulations to you and the doggies! DEFINITELY glad you took them for professional cleaning and tidying; you've done so much and will continue to do more. No need to torture yourself further with that horrible assault on your senses.

@@Solo50plus you Brits with your dogs, Carissa is the same with Diogo. I lived in Ghana as a child and you would never see a child abused but you would with animals, its a culture thing. Your video made me cry Louise and I am not a dog lover.

Awesome job! Just an FYI, that Sego palm is highly toxic to dogs. It will cause acute liver failure. I would recommend fencing around it so they can’t access it. I know someone that lost two young dogs from Sego poisoning before they took it seriously.

I could weep …bless you…2beautiful little souls now in paradise and free …totally free and you are why this has happened…you stood up and spoke out for the weak and vulnerable…they will follow you now forever and love you beyond words. This video showing them running free and lying together and the older dog laying in the grass made me cry. Once again you are an angel…they are blessed and I’m sure you feel pretty lucky too!

It’s awesome finally seeing them with you. They look so happy! I remember when you were living in Anadia when they were stuck in that little kennel. I remember you taking them on walks and then having to leave because you were so heartbroken having to see them stuck in that kennel every day. About that time I was putting an offer on a house in Curia that fell through. It’s great to see this end of the journey and those silly, smiling faces.

I know...I think we are all overdosing on love at the moment. It's going both ways - especially since they came back from the vet all clean and sweet smelling. Can't stop kissing and hugging them! We are a right soppy trio!

Dig a small poo pit in corner of the garden cover in lime powder found in nurseries or Build co ops might have it there, should have no flies and it helps eliminates poo odour 👍☺️

I don't keep them chained up 24/7 so I don't have a problem with poo. They do their business when we go out for our walks.

Aka Filipa. I was so glad when you said that you had finally been able to adopt those two lovely dogs. I myself have rescued several dogs, not from kennels, though,just abandoned dogs. I live in a house in the country so I can keep them in my garden. I have had rescued dogs living with me since the year 2000.I have three female dogs now. Two of them were bought from gypsies together with their mother and the rest of the litter(four boys that I gave for adoption). The mother died soon afterwards because she came already ill to me. Gypsies give all the freedom to their dogs but on the other end they starve them and never take them to the veterinary. Unfortunately there people who treat animals as if they were things, not living beings with feelings like us. I love animals and cannot see them suffer. I am like you. So congratulations for having given those dogs a home. 👍👏👏👏🐕🐕
