After a long and emotional weekend, it felt nice coming back to school. I am so grateful that I feel healthy enough physically and mentally to keep doing what I love and truly never take it for granted. In this video I take you through a slow morning with me, into the classroom, chat through some new projects, open a classroom package, and then bring you through some of my evening routine. I just accepted my first teaching position as a middle school special education teacher! Throughout my entire college experience I never ever thought I’d want to work with middle schoolers. I've always wanted to hear about what sort of books you're into, or maybe even what your favorite books to teach in the classroom are! When you were talking about how as teachers we have to be excited about all the colors, it reminded me of my everyday life as a preschool teacher. If a boy gets something pink you have to be like “Ooh PINK!! Like a pig or a flamingo!”

Ms. Brittany, Colors always inspire me to write stories. Every color has a story and a lesson behind it. I often colors as symbols in my stories and poems. I love paint cards and the beauty of nature. I am sure that your senses project would have been an assignment that I enjoyed with all of my heart. I have had a tiresome week in school, but writing is my solace as I let the words pour from my fingers and imagination. I love you

how do you come up with such awesome projects?! i’m only a senior in high school right now but when i’m with my future students i want to have some project ideas and i am having trouble coming up with some projects. i LOVE the whole idea of the senses! i want to teach American Sign Language so I would have all my students sign everything but i love love love that idea!
