Fix Any Windows Update Error on Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7

Common Windows Update error codes:
If you having problems with Windows Update errors or other Windows Update issues like any of these error codes: 0x80073712, 0x800705B4, 0x80004005, 0x8024402F, 0x80070002, 0x80070643, 0x80070003, 0x8024200B, 0x80070422, 0x80070020.
The steps provided in this video should fix any errors that come up during the Windows Update process.
Remember to backup and data before trying to fix any windows problem.
1. Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
2. Make sure Windows Update Service is running.
3. Manually Download the most recent Servicing Stack Update (SSU)

4. Download the most recent KB Manually from Microsoft Update Catalog www.catalog.update.microsoft....
5. Fix Windows File Corruption by running the command below in command prompt.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
6. Run sfc /scannow command prompt and then test Windows Update once again.
7. Perform an in-place upgrade

8. Perform a clean install of Windows 10

Make sure you backup all of your data from that computer beofre you do a clean installation because this will remove all files from the computer.
Its also a good idea to unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable from the computer before starting a clean install on the computer.

First, this vid got me the workaround to fix my issue of not being able to perform updates anymore. Thank you! Suggestions: you are very knowledgeable and competent with solving issues but please to slow down on your explanation. It is difficult for non-tech Savvy people to follow the directions. I had to pause the vid so many times and rewind it so that I could catch important things that I was missing. Also, it would help to have a much larger display of the items being pointed out to be selected from that you are describing. At some points I actually had to pause the screen and get a magnifying glass out to see what it was that you had selected or typed in. But, once I did, I did get my system fixed properly. Again, thank you so much because yours was the only one that fixed it. I ended up reloading win 10 though to fix the issue. None of the previous steps worked.

Your instructions are fantastic and easy to follow. The problem is windows 10. It is a broken operating system. I never had issues like this with windows 7. This is so time consuming and a waste of valuable time. I have been looking into a Linux operating system. Once I know enough about it, I am deserting Windows for good

Steps six and seven did the trick for me. Step six fixed some error successfully. In-place upgrade worked, now fully up-to-date. Steps 1-5 didn't help but I tried each one in sequence. Thanks.

Excellent. Restore health worked and my laptop is running like new. Luckily I had a shortcut to cmd Administrator saved on the desktop as it was the only way to access it. Start ups were slow afterwards and the temptation was to hard boot but I desisted and eventually windows opened, so just leave it alone.

Very nice video. I have tried all these things in the past, even a clean install of Windows (which took forever with my slow DSL connection). My problem is my Windows Update used to work fine, but started giving an error message of,

I have been trying to install 1803 all day today and been faced with my system getting stuck at 94% on the windows update screen after the system reboots to install the update. I have ran the troubleshooter; I have tried to do an in-place install of Windows 10 1803; I have run both `sfc /scannow` and `DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth` to no avail. I am running Windows 10 Pro 17133.1. The weird thing is it says I am on 1803, but Windows 10 will say I need to update to 1803. Any thoughts would be appreciated, Brian! Thanks!
