How to solve Can't read from the source file or disk error when copying file from DVD or USB or External drive.

Holy crap, this actually worked! One segmented file on a DVD wouldn't copy past 40% no matter what I tried. As a last resort I tried youtube in case someone had some special gel or some silly way to get a DVD disc to work again. Came across this vid and sure enough the free app worked (file was 650mb in size, so the free version was enough). I had no idea an app could retrieve files from a damaged DVD but this did it. Thanks for posting this, you saved me a great deal of headache. Now that I have all 10 segments, file is expanding as I type this. Cheers.

I have a alternative, Just compress the file and copy to the destination folder and extract it... It worked for me!!!

So in other words, we're trying to "recover" a file that was never deleted, but this just helps us copy it because the dumb Windows thing thinks it's corrupted? But I was able to burn it in the first place because I used a 3rd party burner like CD Burner XP?

dude, 1GB limit only for free version, if you want more than 1gb use a registered version of recovery tool. Anyway, you can find registration serial keys from Google Search for free.

Do you able to open the files from the hard disk? if you can't! you have to rectify the data error before copy to the USB. Also, format the USB drive. If the problem with USB, you can fix it in format.

caused overwritten, bro, Typically, from a external drive should not been overwritten after file loss .... But it (recovery) possible from an GPT based internal HDD .
