Fix Subaru P1449 Permanently (I hope!)

Күн бұрынI have a 2017 Subaru WRX. It has gotten trouble code P1449 4 times in under 70,000 miles. This code indicates trouble with the filter that connects to the fuel system. I show where the filter is, how to clean it, and how I hope to prevent it from happening again.

I don't get why so many manufactures vent the EVAP in those locations. GM trucks of all things... EVAP code every year if you use them to work and see any frequency of dirt.

I'd also think with the purchasing quantities they have, it would be cheaper to manufacture the way I did it, than to have a custom built filter module. At assembly they are already running a fuel line all the way to the front, a second one wouldn't add much if any time to assembly.

@@dirtyshirtworkshop It would be peanuts. Just one more pre-bent hard line that gets installed as a single package.

It's 42072va000. If you look online you can find the filter for about $35 plus a little for shipping.
