I replaced the broken Odometer gears in my 1994 Mustang GT by following this video. The instructions are accurate and it took less than one hour to install the replacement gears. Fantastic and thank you.

Installed gear backwards... At least put a disclaimer for others so they know.

You put the worm gear on backwards. I didn't have any gears left to go by. Didn't work afterwards. Looked at other videos it discover the problem. Should really fix that.

As noted below, he installs the worm gear BACKWARDS in the video...if you do that the odometer will not work. The flat end of the worm gear goes towards the motor...you can see the correct orientation when he pulls the original out of the cluster.

I have a 94 mustang 5.0 and your videos are helping a lot, please make one of your detail videos explaining how to change the thermostat and talk more about engine, I don't trust any other videos solo los tuyos bro, keep up the good work 💪

Great video. Might add a note of caution: "if you drive the car without the cluster your alternator might not charge the battery". In a 1998 Cobra this is the case. You will need a tow as a jump will not work. Might also need a reset of the cluster and that is a pita.

Mine is a 95 gt 5.0, my odometer quit working and it changing gears randomly and more is this because the car doesnt know what gear to go into because its not reading the speed?

I got a 99 and my speedometer is stuck at 240k .any suggestion??

I have the same cluster. My temp sensor doesn’t go past the c. My gas gauge only goes to 3/4 when full, my Speedo needle sits on 10 mph when not moving, my Battery gauge works but reads low until I tap it. My tach works fine. Any ideas on why the gauges are not working correctly?

@@vodkaorange4575 Check the orientation of the worm gear...the flat end goes towards the motor. He installed it backwards in the video. I followed the video and mine wouldn't work either. When I rewatched it, I noticed that when he removed the original, you could see that the flat end was toward the motor. I flipped it around, and viola! My odometer works just fine now.

ottergt correct it was installed backwards I verified with other videos posted on KZfaq. Good thing I saw your comment to verify thank you
