Another thing that worked for me: Unplug the power cable and plug it back in but not all the way, just like 70%-80% way, that worked for me!

Thank you for the tip. I unplugged and powered everything off for 30 seconds. Plugged everything back in and held my breath. Pushed the button and it's working again. You just saved me a big headache and money..:)

Thank you, I forgot to unplug my Xbox after using it (since the power goes away often in my area which has a chance of making my Xbox unusable) and my Xbox wasn’t turning on. I plug it into a different outlet and now it works!

You need to unplug the main cable from the Xbox for 10 seconds and then you plug it in you should be able to turn it back on

My issue just ended up being the power cord. Just make sure you check that it’s plugged into the source and the box or just switch the cord into different outlets

if you have a wired controller to your xbox, and if its not showing any signs of life, try connecting a wire into your controller via the xbox port, and try to turn it on, this worked for me

This seems to be a common problem with The Xbox one X. My friend got an Xbox One X in April after I told her how awesome the console was when I got it last February. Having mine for months and almost a year mine never had any problems. But hers croaked literally today and I heard it definitely wasn't the only one! Thank got we still have our Standard Xbox Ones working in case anything bad like that happens, but yeah, I got an older Xbox Christmas 2015, never had a problem with it. And I had my Xbox One X since the 6th last February. Also never had any problems with it. Her other Xbox although still works, experiences minor problems too, like she said sometimes it has problems turning on, and sometimes it turns off at random. I'd blame the electricals, there might be possible shorts in the outlets or the wiring. With all the crap I have I'm surprised my wiring or outlets haven't shorted out yet.

I have this problem too, if nothing works in this video then please take a second too read this comment because it could save you time and possibly your money, let's say nothing in this tutorial worked, what I did to find out what the problem is was unplug the cord and check the light, if the light is still on after you've unplugged the cord from the wall then it's not an internal issue and all you need to do is replace the cord, most of the time it's the cord not the xbox, however if the light turns off after it's unplugged from the wall then it's probably an internal issue or somethings wrong with the outlet, so if you wanna make sure it's not the outlet try plugging something else in in its place, I hope this helped someone. (Edit) When I say cord I mean power supply incase you couldn't tell

My Xbox guide button froze and I couldn’t do anything for about 15 minutes so eventually I just turned off my Xbox and now it won’t boot back up at all. I’ve done all the reset stuff I’ve checked wires and outlets and it all seems to be completely fine but it still doesn’t boot up. When I try to boot up my Xbox the light turns on and that’s it. If anyone can try to offer any possible solutions I’d really appreciate it.

Ive had my Xbox One since 2013 and never ran into any major issues except for a few weeks ago when it wouldn’t turn on but the power box showed a white light, unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed it, but this time nothing’s working, I guess it’s time I let the thing rest, and wait for the Series X to release

If it's old enough the thermal past on the IGU could be dried out and the motherboard shut it off to prevent overheating.

ok so i turned my xbox on and the light came on and everything.. i try turning my xbox controller on but it just keeps blinking. it shows that the xbox is literally on but it shows that no source is showing up on my tv. like it’s been doing this for the past week and i moved it to a different spot but still didn’t work

It’s not the plug bc it makes the Xbox noise when I turn it on it’s the botton doesn’t light up and nothing happens Edit: fixed it just had to unplug and plug back in

You helped me getting my 5vyear old boys xbox he did spell thank you on the comment before I wrote this! I plugged it in to the wall rather than the extention I also moved the console upside down of the fireplace on to the side shelf upwards thank you god bless you ❤️

ok, so i swapped my extention lead to a new outlet and it worked so i put my computer charger in the other, both work now but why wasnt it working before?

If the light is blinking and won’t turn off it means you need the clean the fan!

guys also check to power corn in the back or ur xbox check if it dusty if it is wipe it off

So I tried to open a game and the Xbox shut off as if it had no power I Microsoft and that didn’t help o tried what they said again but when it gets into the green Xbox logo animation it shuts off and will no longer turn on

Anyone know why this is happening so basically I'm updating my Xbox it downloads the update when it completes the applying step it does the reset but my Xbox didn't turn back on after the reset and I unplug it and plug it back in and when I turn it on it takes me back to the update screen and It does the same thing over and over
