I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right knee about a year ago and it was so painful at times. I would avoid aggravating it to calm it down but then I’d do something in training to flare it back up and it was frustrating. about six months ago I started squats with the SS method and not only has my knee completely stopped hurting, , my squat has gone up 40 kg and the knees feel allot stronger. Thank you guys so much 🙏

Thank you.! Great info. I just wish the camera could have found a better position to show the process. And maybe a little bit slower in one or two repetitions to really see what was being explained... Thank you again.

SS, could you guys please do a quick video on safest way to unrack the bar from the j-hooks while bench pressing without a spotter, as many of us train alone. And by safest, I mean from the standpoint of shoulder health.

Interesting to see this mentioned. Not the first time I have seen this que-object used before albeit the first time I heard about this was from a great coach who used foam rollers. No need to use wood plank. Applying correct position of knees gets you thinking about the entire body at the mid to lower portions of the motion

so is the general idea that knees should stop over the end of the foot/toes at the bottom position but not extend beyond that? It seems that is what the wood block test is for?

What are some of the physical issues to tell if someone is going too far with their knees? I lift alone and seem to have lower back issues after I squat.

Anyone planning to use tubow, you'll want to make sure you're keeping the knees in contact with the tubow for longer on the way up to make sure you get effective contribution from the quads and don't fold like a taco

it's not a great illustration, but given enough weight, late knees will result in the back angle becoming more horizontal, knees being pulled back essentially "good morning-ing" the weight up when you begin to "hip drive". Early knees tends to fix this as you can maintain a more constant back angle on the concentric
