very cool. found a cracked (smashed top) iphone 11 (not max/mini/pro, just 11). said face id not working once cleared it out. replaced the screen and the settings just state, face id has an issue, but won't say what kind of issue. the connector looks fine. so, my question is this... can the copy device possibly read the code from original - and from there, program the mini part and use a aftermkt (amazon $15) camera/id assy and have it work?

Would this work for a faceid module that is not working due to water damage? My suspicion is that it’s not actually corroded (phone was immediately dried), but it triggered a permanent error state that needs to be undone. Thoughts?

I keep getting error when trying to use icopy 2.2 for face ID repair. I cloud back up and when click activation I get activation failed, please try again If the cable is detected abnormally, please remove the extension cord or use the chip solution to fix it.

No, it’s designed only to fix the original part to get Face ID back.

Hi, so you have to keep the dot flex clipped on, if it is removed no more face id. So for every repair a new flex is needed, correct??

You could connect a battery without issues and see if that helps it be detected. If that still doesn’t work maybe something on the motherboard can be fixed to help it be detected.

No, you'd need to do extra solder work to swap the component from one flex to another.

Each front facing camera assembly is paired to its original motherboard so this programmer cannot help if either is not original to the other.

Hye,is it using new camera/face id module or using the original old module that is broken? May I know the success rate and which condition will it work and which will not…since the tag and device quite pricey for some so don’t wanna waste on something that I can’t fix 🥹🥹🥹🥹

That’s the whole point. I’ve shown how to do the repair the long and hard way in previous videos, but this allows for the repair to be done quickly without the soldering and attention to detail under magnification for an hour. Sure it’s great that I can do it the old way but if it’s as easy as pressing a few buttons who wouldn’t want to do that instead?

The original old module is used for the repair as both the dot projector and infrared cameras are still the paired components to that phone for Face ID functionality.
